Title Until the T-Shirt Dries Spoiler
Ep 8 that Mitsuru gets on my nerves. Great that Sakiko left without telling him. He should get a taste of his…
Yes, it’s frustrating that the characters keep humoring him. Keep doing that and Mitsuru will never understand the gravity of his actions, how they deeply affected people around him especially Sakiko. I mean if Sakiko contacted them and they knew she’s safe and that she wants them to keep it secret from her husband, then just do that. Be her ally. Everyone in the room knows the situation. Naoto aside, they’re not obligated or have any reason to help this troublemaker. Why would they come to the cafe when he called? 🙄

Let’s talk episode 8…
I like when they gather in the cafe and have a little interrogation. It’s like detective drama. The whole interactions were funny too 🤭

It’s interesting how the writer manipulates viewers’ emotions. In ep6 Mitsuru came out as the most despicable psychopath. Then in ep7 we got to know about his mental illness. I tried to understand but I still couldn’t sympathize with him. However in ep8 we got to see more of his POV and what really happened, we saw he’s actually capable of crying, worrying of someone, getting sad and remorseful… I kinda pity him.

I feel like some many things happened, so much emotions, but the storyline itself hasn’t progressed much. I expect nothing much will happen either in the last two episodes. However, I hope Itsuki crash out even just once. His wife is dead. He hasn’t punched Mitsuru like he said he wanna do. His potential romance with Sakiko is over right before it started. Now Sakiko is missing, he could’ve just ignored Mitsuru and let Mitsuru suffers but he is cooperating with Mitsuru to find Sakiko 🙄

So he had amnesia for a year, but he knew the phone number of the café?
Can you tell me when he indicated this? Is it in his narration or conversation? Because I don’t remember

She screamed out loud at something her mom said but is phlegmatic about hubby's return after a YEAR away lol.…
I guess even after a year she’s still wearing the ‘rose tinted glasses’ 😥

At the very least, they were having an emotional affair. They might not have acted on it yet but the feelings…
Emotional affair is a good word to describe it. There was no romance between Mitsuru and Azusa but they couldn’t completely shut down any possibility of future romance if they keep meeting secretly like that. I mean, even Itsuki and Sakiko also love their respective spouses, but their relationship, which started as fellow widower trying to help each others, and as friendly neighbors, is growing to be something more.

I believe this show is the most talked or buzzing in Japan this season. I mean ofc Vivant Season 2 has double…
Maybe, but can also because the writer of this show is Ubukata, famous for writing hit drama such as ‘Silent’. And also this is Aoi Yu’s comeback drama after long hiatus

At this point (ep7) I don’t think Sakiko will end up with Itsuki 🥲 Not enough episodes left for romance development.
Damn Mitsuru… You shouldn’t have come back. So selfish…

Story up to episode 7….
I can understand Mitsuru’s situation, and also I get what the writer of this drama wants to convey.

The big question is what is considered affair or not? Does affair have to involve physical relationship and romantic feelings? What if there’s no both? What if they’re just meeting up, talking, going together and love respective spouses…. Is it considered affair or not? (e.g Mitsuru-Azusa’s and Itsuki-Sakiko’s cases). What if the wife know and allow the husband to have relationship with other woman? Is giving consent = not cheating = okay? (e.g Sakiko’s boss aka Chizuru’s case)
The writer wants us to think about these questions.

While I can understand Mitsuru’s situation and POV now, I still don’t condone his actions. It doesn’t change the fact he’s cruel to leave Sakiko in the dark and expect she’ll welcome him home with open arms, with no explanation. You have to communicate those things before, NOT after.

Also, arguably, what Mitsuru and Azusa are doing is borderline cheating. Talking in coin laundry is still ok. But they made plans to go to aquarium and fireworks together, secret from their spouses. Not to mention a day trip together. Even if it was unplanned, in good intention and good faith, the fact is at that point they didn’t consider what their spouses would feel if they know. Mitsuru’s reason for not telling Sakiko about his condition is just a poor and convenient excuse for his behavior. He’s an adult. If he really loves Sakiko he should have gone to a therapy

THIS REALLY NEEDS A HIGHER RATING (at least 8.0+). IT'S SO GOOD!!!The actors are great since they've been in the…
I believe this show is the most talked or buzzing in Japan this season. I mean ofc Vivant Season 2 has double the viewership but the ratings are dropping every week while T-Kawa has been steadily increasing in ratings every week 🥰

Read if you’ve watched ep6!!! 🤬💢
OMG! Mitsuru is infuriating! Disappearing is one thing, but what the hell is that attitude when he comes back?! “I’m home” then drink coffee and smoke like nothing happened. Sakiko is too easy on him. Even tho she slapped him twice, I’d rather she let Itsuki punch Mitsuru in the face!

Seeing how he behaves and speaks now and in his backstory, I believe he’s an indifferent, apathetic and unemotional person. But at this point, I really don’t care about his reasons anymore. His behavior during the talk at the end of the episode was inexcusable! He couldn’t even explain properly, and even if he was trying to make a point, or just jealous, he doesn’t have the right to confront and judge them like that! He, who fucking left his wife and disappeared for a year! 🤬

That's unusual, why?
That’s a hot take for sure. I assumed most people would hate Mitsuru instead

Everyone thought he died in an accident, but he didn’t. He didn’t even let Sakiko know if he’s safe or not…
True. The least he could have done is say sorry 😡

I don't know what's going to happen later but Mitsuru is such a douchebag 😡 I hate that Sakiko is too nice…
Bruh! I was saying similar thing in another comment!

Asking her ‘how are you?’ If I were Sakiko I’d answer, ‘What do you think I’d feel a55hole!? I thought u were dead, then you fckin disappeared for a year, I didn’t even know whether u cheat or not, and you ask me how am I??!’

And now she ready to move on and he came back out of nowhere? At this timing?? 🤬 I bet now she’s feeling guilty trying to throw his stuffs and letting a man inside the house, but what does he expect, she has been mourning and waiting in the dark for a year! Or what, he wanted her to believe and wait for him forever to come home? 🙄

I really don’t understand Mitsuru. His actions don’t make sense. Read the comment if you have watched episode…
Everyone thought he died in an accident, but he didn’t. He didn’t even let Sakiko know if he’s safe or not when he should have known she’d be worried sick. He only secretly kept in touch with the barista. It’s clear he intended to disappear from her life. If that’s his choice, he should see it through until the end. But he doesn’t.

He still spoke to her in the phone, twice. He sent her a letter. He doesn’t hide the fact that he’s alive. But he won’t come home. He won’t tell her where he is. He won’t tell her what’s his relationship with Azusa. He cares about her enough to ask the barista to keep an eye on her, but he himself won’t assure or promise her anything. He didn’t even answer her question, just silence over the phone. I believe Mitsuru has his own reasons but that doesn’t change the fact his actions hurt her. And then after a year of disappearance, when Sakiko finally decided to move on, Mitsuru just appeared in front of the door out of nowhere. I think it’s cruel. Now she’s going to feel guilty of trying to move on and accept new people in her life.
