Episode 15 Doesn't make her staying at Mi Ho's house defeat the purpose of protecting her? Like she'd be way more safe at his house.. also wouldn't staying at the friend's house endanger Mi Ho and her family as well?
Sorry, but what right does the prosecutor have to tell SJH off? You're her friend and you should stay as one. Just because you have feelings for her does not give you the right to butt in. Another frustrating element in Asian dramas.. just why this obsession with love triangles.
Also all this angst.. did it have to come right towards the end? This is a problem I have with a lot of Asian dramas in general.. if you're going to introduce angst do it mid-way, so that you can have a proper resolution and lessons for leads to learn post all that angst. The ending should be about wrapping up, concluding and moving towards a message you want to tell and NOT ABOUT INTRODUCING LAST MIN ACTION / ANGST JUST TO TIE IT UP WITH A BOW FOR A HAPPY ENDING. The way a drama ends is as important as it's beginning and middle - when will writers learn that?
Anyway I am not going to jump to conclusions and will comment after watching the finale.
this is such a fun watch, with fun and interesting characters. i love the music and aesthetics as well. so enjoyable.
If you liked this, you should definitely check out more of Kudo Kankuro's dramas like Tiger and Dragon Kisarazu Cat's Eye Gomenne Seishun Ore no Ie no Hanashi Yutori Desu ga Nani ka 11 Nin mo Iru!
Sigh I'm probably in the minority who wasn't a fan of the ending.. I wish it ended when they she sent him the…
Now that you mention it.. maybe I did come in with a pre-conceived notion that she has a disability so it would be a love story centering around that. Having said that, I did quite enjoy this drama. I think the leads really looked like a real couple that was in love.
I am glad you're open-minded enough too that you didn't take my different views as a criticism of the show or thinking I'm a hater LOL.. I wish more people realised the beauty of differing POVs and how much that adds to a discussion and understanding of how different people see things differently.. unfortunately MDL is full of too many fanatics rather than real lovers of Asian cinema.
How did I miss this iconic drama on Netflix?!Time for a re-watch after 20 years because I could do with a good…
I'd recommend watching the fan-subbed version over the Netflix version for a better viewing experience.. the fan subs actually translated a lot of the cultural references, significance of places they visited and the word plays / puns they used as opposed to the Netflix one which merely translated the dialogues spoken by the characters.

AHH do watch more J dramas! They have quite a range from really dark to silly. I have a list of recommendations if you're looking to try stuff other than comedies.
Since you're into comedies, these writers are great. Bakarhythm (he writes genius black comedies and satires): Kudo Kankuro (fun, wacky and heartwarming.. also a lot of his dramas and movies have a sick and edgy editing style) Fukuda Yuichi (action + comedy.. very mindless)

This is not a drama for everybody and might constitute the brand of comedy that puts many off Japanese content, so watch with caution. If you can get past the first 2 episodes, you'll end up enjoying this and Kudo Kankuro's works in general. Having said that, this drama about young delinquents was way ahead of its time thanks to its edgy direction and editing style, and characters that were refreshingly frank, and equally charming as they were jerks. Definitely one of the most iconic Japanese dramas reminiscent of youth, culture and delinquency, with an A1 cast that was just starting out and probably had no idea they would grow so huge. I mean we have hot Tomo in his prime, goofy Yosuke, skinny Tsumabaki Satoshi, Takahashi Issei with the long hair, innocent Yamapi, Koyuki, and Kudo Kankuro .. they made me realise how much I've aged alongside with them 🥹🥹 Also this was Sato Ryuta's first ever role!! DAMNNNN
Not just homophobic.. that user basically hates anything Japanese. Like this must be the 3rd or 4th comment I'm seeing from him / her on a J drama page spreading hate.
disgusting japan always making immoral stories. Cant believe they are normalising this disgusting behaviour making…
DUDE why are you spreading so much hate on every Japanese drama page? I get it, you hate Japanese cinema with a passion. Move on, watch the movies and dramas you enjoy. Nobody is forcing you to watch Japanese dramas and movies.

Ahh you started with Gomenne Seishun! I think about 3-4 dramas on this list are written by the writer of Gomenne Seishun. His name is Kudo Kankuro, and majority of his dramas are comedic gold. In terms of comedy, I'd say Gomenne Seishun ranks a little lower than most of his work and is more on the heartwarming side. But its enjoyable nonetheless.
Wait till you watch some of the others.. you'll laugh so much! HAHA.
And yes, Japanese comedy is absolutely GOLD. They can make a plot out of absolutely nothing, and have you hooked, and feel a myriad of emotions.
I would have loved to see Han So Hee as a vampire.. i can totally picture her in the role. Anyway I enjoy vampire stuff so I'll watch it. Too bad there are very few vampire Asian dramas and movies.
"He's manly and handsome.""He's so soft on the inside like a sponge cake.""He's sexy too."said the ladies at the…
Not all of them are romcoms, some are pure comedies involving gangsters. But they're super good! You should definitely check them out if you're into this genre :)

I hope it's not true.
I supported him when he was charged for using drugs, but sexual assault is something I can't support.
Tiger and Dragon
Kisarazu Cat's Eye
Gomenne Seishun
Ore no Ie no Hanashi
Yutori Desu ga Nani ka
11 Nin mo Iru!
The ending is fitting, and heartwarming.

Can't wait to start this :)

That is exactly what I felt!
He is very loveable, and that feeling hasn't subsided even 12 episodes in.
I mean you're investing your time and energy, so it's always best to watch something that interests you.

YESSSSSSSS I FREAKING LOVED IT
I wanted to give him one big hug! He's just too adorable!
