Honestly watching when it aired it's kinda hectic, there's too much scene need to digest hit you like bullet train also there's ton of spoiler everywhere like a minefield lol.

Currently on rewatch too, and I love now I can see some subtle hint through episode when watching on leasure time. This is one of those moments which make me realized they all are good actor. Even their slightly movement carrying a message.

Yeah that's the problem with the ending, they could just preserve LWY memories on Awu doll like WWY store her memories on her bracelet. New LWY basically just empty vessel with no memories hence I couldn't care less with her. Hope season 2 could fix that like make it LWY 2.0 could resonate and get the OG memories back. Eventho some of that was fake memories planted by fake leader but she itself have plenty real and genuine memories to remember.

I'm also on my rewatching, now on eps 7. Just think as if I'm Wu Shiguang who possessed the knowledge from the OG timeline.

The Emperor who edict a decree to execute him after Duan Xu win the war for them 😂 yeah its an easy choice, he should drop everything in heartbeat or just let He Simu tore down the entire country after wasting his life and betraying him like that.

I did say, the bad writing especially on last 10 episode or so made me hate Duan Xu when they downgraded his character from formidable general to no more than damsel in distressed.

How he so stubbornly didn't tell He Simu when his sense fading or how he several times basically just throw his life into danger but he won't call He Simu for help, atleast Chenying still call her name when in his last breathe. Atleast when you being that weak, seeking help won't tarnish your pride. Just stop putting yourself or someone else into danger just because your stubborness. That's not a love when you start not being honest and can't trust to each other.

While I did love their early dynamic when he more obsessed to He Simu. Do everything to get to know and get close to her. Even willing to exchange sense just to let He Simu taste how beautiful the world is. Delay his comeback to Nandu follow her to Void eventho he barely know nor could foresee what happen inside the void. When they got into illusion, he actually taste how great it was when he drop everything just being focus to grow old together with her.

But then on later episode they show how he got more obsessed to unified 17 prefecture more than the obssesion to being with He Simu. For 5 years, he didn't even get bothered when He Simu missing being captived by Yan Ke in Void world. Old Duan Xu gonna leave the war and find a way to break into void just to save He Simu at all cost.

This Cdrama shows for the spirit, the greater obssesion they have, the greater power they possessed aswell. Sadly at the end, Duan Xu obssesion no longer being with He Simu. He could just chose another path, like telling He Simu about his condition to find a way to cure it. Or maybe just drop everything in mortal world just to be with He Simu longer. Rather he chose his obssesion to finish the war more and it served him right, to fasten his death just show his stubborness while he didn't even think about He Simu at all. What's the point unified county and seeking your personal glory when you can't live longer together with your loved one and make her grief over your death body early instead.

Think this is first Cdrama who made me hate the ML while understand SML motive better at the end. Duan Xu recklessness, stubborn and his self centered persona annoyed me so much, he cost He Simu life several times while being ignorant. While Yan Ke have so much opportunity to ended her life and take a throne but wouldn't do it because for him it's not about the throne, he just wants Simu on his side. At the end Yan Ke sacrificing himself is fit for him eventho he supposed to be the main villain, unlike Duan Xu who no where near when everytime He Simu had trouble.

For people who says get bothered with Dilraba act, think it mostly because bad writing and bad dynamic between He Simu and Duan Xu when she lives in mortal world especially on early 8-10 episode. It get better when they start exchange sense. When they move to void world, she really shows she's better when act as an icy cold domineering sovereign than bubbly innocent girl in mortal world.

Last five episode I basically skip every Duan Xu part because at some point I couldn't stand how they made him dumb and weak then cost everyone lifes just for plot. Just glad they find a better ending for Chenying and keep the bond between him and Simu. Almost stop watching when they made He Simu only watch him dying on battlefield without doing anything, I mean she could flip the world for Duan Xu but couldn't flick her finger to save Chenying, atleast she could transport him to some save place.

First time watching GJM work, did it always like this?? no foreplay straight to action from the get go. Couldn't even grasp what is happening. Ju Jingyi seems suspicious since she use magic spell to that bride in beginning but then Chen Duling appear outtanowhere and fight everyone, so which one is the fox demon? Don't tell me they gonna put some twist and making it unpredictable.

WSG definition of street-smart but kinda naive in most of part. As we know WSG mission is to complete his revenge over dragon flood massacres, that's why most of his arc story finish after star stone illusion arc.

From the beginning he never wanted to be a dragon nor trained to be one. Hence when he found out about his real identity we can still see how's he seems struggling to accept his fate to carry that huge responsibility. That's why his dragon transformation feel lackluster since he barely have anyone to guided to be one even Chiwen feel distant and disconnected to him comparing Chiwen interaction with Ji Ling.

Mostly I'm the Li Jie on that situation 😅

Don't worry I don't like the little one, she's so smol like I could put her in my pocket. Also her voice is so annoying, I really couldn't stand it, keep hearing it on my dream. Hope she didn't bothering the older fox too much on next episode.

Well I'm already on acceptance phase lol especially after they announced 2nd season. So all of those flaw and messed up they created at the end could be justifies to create more possibility for next season. Now only need them to show how they gonna fix and resolve everything left from the ending. If they choose to made prequel instead telling what happen next or only use the universe with different characters for season 2, it will be hard pass for me.

Made rough draft what happen if they keep LWY in the past. Let's say after the portal shut they all goes back to eps 1 ending. That's exact checkpoint its make sense for aesthetic to keep storyline keep moving. From this point basically there's atleast another 5 chapter in my mind how this ending should goes.
