Up till episode 03 and haven't seen any romance at all. For those of you who already finished watching... does this have any romance? Please, don't spoil me *who* are part of the romance, just want to know *if* there is any. And thanks in advance!
I LOVED Bo Se Ra and Yang Cheol's relationship! I liked them even more than main leads and the other side pairings. They were the cutest, most adorable!! ♡♡♡
So, I watched the first full episode (part A and part B) and idk... it's entertaining so far (surprisingly, I like the bicker between the main leads, and I say surprisingly because I tend to hate that) but I'm really... uncomfortable with some things regarding Aji and the team of engineers/her creators. Like, first of all how the Main Engineer/Scientist used his ex-girlfriend 's appearance to create a very submissive robot/doll that has to please her "master"s every desire, and every time she "wakes up" she has to tell him that she loves him. Uhm?? Creepy?? Weird?? And then everyone talking about Aji and the FL's breasts, how small or big they are. It feels all very misogynistic for me, and very uncomfortable. It's kind of like the stereotype of "Nerd Boyz" not being able to "handle" real girls so they prefer submissive fictional girls, so they can do whatever they want with said girls. Ugh. Disgusting. But like I said, I do like how the main leads bicker so I'm intered to see how that goes.
I had very high expectations for this, since a lot of people were comparing it with Crash Landing On You and I absolutely loved that drama. But... with this one... I'm sorry to say but I'll have to drop this. It's very disappointing. :(
The leads here are SO different than Grim / Sunny in Goblin. It's just... wow. Yoon Seo, more than anyone, she's so different than Sunny. But still, they are good characters, the leads. Yoon Seo is the most adorable, cutest and most innocent female character I've ever seen in any kdrama, ever before. I just want to give her a hug, a warm blanket and cookies, and protect her from this cruel, harsh world. <3
Why does the synopsis says, "[Kwon Jung] is arrogant and cold-hearted."?But the tags say, "Nice Male Lead"?
He's not arrogant. And I wouldn't even call him cold? He's just very serious and very "professional" (cares too much about work). But he's never been mean to the FL, not really (so far, I'm on episode 08). Not like the main lead was in She Was Pretty or any other kdrama full of a-holes MLs where they insult and mistreat FL so much.
*SPOILERS up until episode 2* After watching episode 2, I'm not liking how everyone treats her. She's shy and she has a passive personality. So why is everyone hating her and "blaming" her for everyone's actions? And even her own son is blaming her! It's like, everyone is saying "you deserve to be treated that way because you are like that", and no??? She doesn't deserve that treatment? I AM SHY, and I am like her, I also have a passive personality, I don't like being in arguments/fights. So does that mean I deserve to be yelled at and blamed for how mean others are towards me? And that I deserve their mean treatment? How is that different from victim blaming? "Victim blaming" of rape/assault. For example, "you were raped/assaulted because you have this kind of personality and you are very pretty". It's awful to blame the victim, and it's awful how everyone is treating her and blaming HER for others being mean to her. She doesn't deserve that and she shouldn't have to "toughen up" or she shouldn't have to "have a stronger personality type" in order to be respected and not yelled at and not be treated in a mean/rude way. I am so close to dropping this, not because of the FL (like some other commenters are complaining about) but for how others treat her and BLAME her for said treatment.
Omg omg omg this is based on Beauty and the Beast!! ...kind of. I absolutely LOVE everything that has Beauty and the Beast as its base core/story plot.
(I knew pretty much nothing about the plot before watching this, so didn't know what to expect. AND so far, I only watched the first episode, so I'm just going to talk only about that one, ep 01)
I was watching the first episode, and the first hint I've got (or sign, alarm, bell, however you want to call it) about this resembling BatB was when IU's character was talking to the Old Woman. I completely thought "IU's character is being really rude and unkind to someone who gave her something to drink and a place to rest. I bet the Old Woman is a Witch and is going to curse her". Then, the second hint/sign was when IU's character said "there's a thief in my hotel" while looking at the expensive vase where the golden snake was. That was TOTALLY BatB. Then, third sign and what convinced me that this was going the BatB route was 1) the garden of red roses and 2) the father of the MC stealing a flower from the magical tree. So when IU showed up before the Man, I was just waiting for her to ask him about his son, to strike a deal, I mean, it was pretty obvious at that point! I already knew what was going to happen, I was expecting it... and I was not disappointed.
This makes me so happy because 1) it surprised me since, like I said, I didn't know much about this drama's plot before watching, and 2) again, like I also said, I love everything Beauty and the Beast so I imagine I'm going to really love or at least enjoy watching this one.
I'm kind of interested in watching this but question! Who does she ends up with, in the end? Since the description/plot seems to imply there will be a love triangle between her, the baseball player(her ex) and the police officer. Spoil away, no worries. And thanks!!
So... I'm disappointed in this. When I watched the trailer, I thought this was going to be like the Hollywood movie "Her" or like the kdrama "Are You Human Too?", so I was really excited to watch it.
I'm a HUGE fan of the science fiction genre, especially the -robots and androids and AI- kind. I love Westworld, Detroit: Become Human, I Robot, and many other things I watched where the androids were very... human like. So this peaked my interest real quick.
But... what did I get? A female character who falls out of love real quickly? First her boss, then HOLO, then Nando? And actually ends up with Nando?? Really??? Around episode 6 or 7 I realized this wasn't going to end up like what I was promised in the trailer (jfc, it's called "my HOLO love" for a reason! Not "my human love who looks like my Holo friend"), I wanted a Holo/FC relationship so bad. So yeah, I feel cheated, lol, and sooo disappointed. I only kept watching for the side-pairing, mostly, but they didn't even kissed? Asjdkd :( so sad.
The acting was good, though. And the OST too. But the story, though... the story disappointed me. I was expecting something else and it let me down.
I just finished this drama and omg! Am I the only one who was shocked/surprised to find out that Lee was dating Prosecutor Son and not Prosecutor Shin??? I sas convinced it was Shin but then... wow. Not saying I hated it or anything. Actually, in one or two episodes I thought they could be an interesting couple. I just... wasn't expecting it. This drama surprised me to the end :)
Glad there's at least some romance.

"How can someone beat a Goblin?" Lmao xD loved that!
