I didn't like the FL at first either. But after a few more episodes, you'll see her good side. For me it was the…
I am like you in this. I drop dramas if I found too many things I don' like or if the Female character is still annoting after a few episodes. I was going to drop this by episode 3 or so, because I really disliked So Bong (the female lead), but I felt so bad because I loved Nam Shin III. So I forced myself to watch more, to keep going. If she was still bad by half the season or more, I would totally drop it. So I kept watching and wow, the change. Now (episode 15), I have to admit I came to love the female lead. She has really changed for the better. No spoilers but you have to keep watching, it's worth it.
Well too bad, because he actually portrays the character perfectly. He is not being a jerk, he is hiding his feelings…
Well, you seem to have read over my review. I don't care if he has feelings or not for her, I care what he does to her and how he acts towards her: a bully. Do you really think that it's okay for a person to think "he's my bully, he treats me like $hit, oh but it's all okay because he actually has feelings for me and is just hiding them, so I will stand every hurt he gives me"?? That's a toxic relationship, imo. I can stand the guy being an ass-ole to the female lead in the early episodes (I've watched many of those) but after half the season goes by and he's still a royal ass-ole and still bullies the female lead and makes her cry and all? That's a no, for me. That's why I dropped this and I have dropped other dramas before.
Guys! Anyone remember how was called the cutting paper technique Hyun Ji practiced and that then the Vet was practicing in the dark in his office? I don't even remember the episode where the Vet explains how to do it and what was its name.
If anyone knows, please let me know! And thank you!!
I fear that this drama will have the same ending as Angry Mom: unsatisfying and a total let down. I'm really…
Do YOU realize that I wrote that comment BEFORE episode 17 aired? How was I supposed to know? I just wrote what I think would happened and that it would end in a cliche manner or have a cliche ending.
I fear that this drama will have the same ending as Angry Mom: unsatisfying and a total let down.
I'm really loving this, but the feeling this is giving me with its two last episodes to day... It's not all too optimistic.
When I watch a drama (or thriller/about crime) concerning corrupted people or enemies/bad people in general vs the good guys who go through so much in all the episodes, I always expect a satisfying ending where the bad guys get exactly what they deserve... and yet, each time I get disappointed. Sure, just like in Angry Mom, the bad guys probably will go to jail, but also probably it will be just for one or two years, and even more probably not for the main crime they committed, but for a side crime. So... where's the satisfaction in that? I expected Defendant to be different, I expected things to start going well for Jong Woo, and yet, nope, disappointing. Sung Kyun got killed and the culprits are free and happy and living their lives with no concerns. How is that fair (for the good guys) and satisfying (for us, the watchers)?
Still, I should just wait and see how it ends, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up, and I'll just expect the same thing that happened in Angry Mom. So, will probably give this 8,5 stars.
So at the end, they didn't get caught like I feared, they just got separated. Episode 13 and 14 were both satisfying but also stress inducing and made me go anxious the whole hour. But glad that things are looking up for Jong Woo :) Hope things go well for him from now on, and I can't wait for Cha Min Ho to get what he deserves.
should i watch this? idk if i would enjoy this or not but many people like this so i'm a little bit curious…
I usually only watch romance kdramas and nothing else, but then because everyone said how good this was, I got curious (and also, to try watching something else other than just rom-coms) so I started this. I couldn't stop watching it! It's really that good! So you should try it, at least the couple first episodes. :)
I was just thinking that Kang Ji Hwan and Hwang Jung Eum would make such an amazing couple, and would love to…
Okay, thank you for telling me :) Lately, I've been watching more action/mystery/dramatic dramas rather than romances, so I'll probably give this a chance anyway.
After two episodes, I don't find anything that makes me wanna keep watching :( also Bong Soon's thought "why is he acting like such a gay?" or "why is he acting so gay?" (I don't remember exactly how it was) really annoyed me. Idk. WHY should I keep watching this? It's like it's all over the place... It has a little bit of "romance", a little bit of mystery, another bit of action, a little bit of comedy, anyway, a little bit of everything but there's nothing that defines the plot/show, so it's like they don't even know what they want to do with this drama? Idk, it made me feel that way.
Am I the only one that thinks that the relationship between the mother and the father(??? The owner of the coffee…
Yeah, I guess taking the money from the job is okay, as it is a family business after all, it seems. But she also took his savings? Or the money he had in his pocket :( he can't have any money on him because she takes it away from him.
And yeah, how she treated him in front of the employee and then in front of the daughter, it was awful, poor guy.
Let's hope she changes for the better in the next episodes, but doubt it.
Ahhh. I'm having sooo much second lead syndrome (Se Gi❤). Sorry, Do Hyun is adorable and all, but I think Se Gi and Ri Jin have more chemistry and are more entertaining than she and Do Hyun. Specially in episode 11, the "banter becomes rap" scene about the tie and the bag. So hilarious!! And basically, the whole theme of "bad boy being tamed by the female lead" is ~ wow ~ just my right cup of tea. Poor Se Gi ;_; </3
Am I the only one that thinks that the relationship between the mother and the father(??? The owner of the coffee shop) is abusive? She takes all the money away and threatens him.
If anyone knows, please let me know! And thank you!!
Edit--- May be a bit spoilerish... So... Hidden.
