can someone explain to me what was going on in the scene when he hugged her and the thermometer broke?
It’s real not a dream sequence. Chen Yi is giving into his feelings. He can’t restrain himself anymore and hugs her. Miao Jing is startled and drops the thermometer. The Director zooms into the broken pieces because it’s a visual metaphor for their broken relationship.
