Just one other thing, this drama has vampiric themes, which is very disturbing to me, but it’s quite central to the plot. The ML is not a vampire, but his changed condition causes him to feed like one. So, watching that might be offensive for you.

The cast is having a blast. They all seem so good-natured.

The show gave me a bad impression in episode 1 as well. So, I understand your misgivings. Do what is best for your conscience and peace of mind. Don’t watch something that, in your gut, makes you feel uncomfortable.

He was reborn as child for two episodes. There were no inappropriate scenes. She cared for him like a mother/big sis. In the blink of an eye, he grew to adulthood and that childhood arc was over. End of discussion. The drama is quite light (despite the military & blood/dark magic themes—odd and oxymoronic concepts there, I know, but it’s true). It’s not a heavy drama, but there will be deep breakup angst probably. It’s entertaining, swoonworthy, and humorous. The romance between the leads is one of the best I’ve seen in a while. It’s not a drama to take too seriously. There are too many unrealistic elements in the story for that. Just enjoy the eye candy and the wild ride, I say. The supporting characters are a lot of fun too.

ikr 😞 can’t wait to see how it all plays out. I feel like we will get a happy ending though because in MDL pics section on page 22 there are some pretty pics of their kissing which seems to be in the future.

That caught my attention too as inaccurate to history, but so are blood bonds and supernatural shadow puppets. So, it’s all good. Imma just go with it 😆😂.

I don’t believe Mo Yin means to do Jin’an harm. I think he’s a good guy.

I think he will recall this at some point. He was focused on catching the culprit in that moment. But eventually, I absolutely believe he will recall that he was called “Prince Annan” by that guy. A seed has been planted in Jin’an’s mind about his true identity, whether he realizes it or not.

There are 3 left, I believe.

Like I said, ep 19 and 20 were outstanding. ML is no pansy. He was sharp as tack on many levels. I feel we see a slow evolution back to Prince Annan even though he’s still hanging onto his Jin’an identity and his love for the General while facing the effects of the Jade Linglong.

It’s back on track in 17. Episodes 19 and 20 were outstanding. The performances and the plot—the villains, the leads, and supporting—excellent.

Ep 20–Outstanding. Jin’an and his sharp retorts. Dude is quick and smart. Let’s nothing slide. Also, so many great couple-moments between Jin’an and the General—warm hugs, serious discussion, solving problems as a team, their loving anxious concern over each other—OMG. They are hurting my heart. I can feel the angst slowly building.
