Very true Kdramas aren’t hitting like they used too. I work hard to find one that I love thoroughly lately. But there are many Cdramas coming in clutch with the acting and the feels and the story and the visuals and the cinematography. I am definitely watching 90% Cdramas and 10% Kdramas these days.

I too thought First Frost was nothing special until around episode 10. After that, it progressively got amazing to me. I was eagerly, restlessly awaiting the next episode thereafter. I only stuck with it initially because I read the book and wanted to see how they would reenact the bizarre scenes in the book. The drama and the actors far exceeded my expectations. The warmth and depth of understanding of the characters with which the lead actors portray their roles draws you into the story. They portray the characters’ pain and joy so well. It’s easy to write off the impact of a first love, especially a teenage first love, but the reality is that affects many people very deeply. I’ve seen it firsthand in real life. The things that impact us for the rest of our lives, our whole psyche, happen while we’re young. The drama makes me reflect on these things.

The bestie’s behavior gets worse with each episode. I dislike her whole vibe. So petty and immature. Unprofessional too. She’s a good friend to the FL, but other than that, her negative attitude is so off-putting.

Yep, the Casting Director got it right. I had strong doubts prior to the start of the drama. Sooooo happy to be wrong about the actors! They are knocking it out of the park. Giving me all the feels and butterflies and angst and chuckles—just everything.

I think the FL handled things badly, but she’s not in love with him yet. She’s just starting to like him. It makes sense to abandon feelings for someone if you discover a dealbreaker that prevents you from moving forward with the relationship, especially at this early stage.

The way I wake up at midnight, 1, or 2am in order to watch the latest episode even though I have to go to work the next day 😳🥱

People can describe events as they see them exactly how they like. I said “tiresome.” Tiresome, immature, ridiculous—all of the above. But, if the writer’s purpose was to show an area of necessary growth in the FL—mission accomplished.

A simple polite enquiry would have cleared the matter up. The way this was handled was so immature and ridiculous. But, I agree—a woman has the right to decline a relationship with a man who has a child if she wishes. Just handle it like a proper adult instead of like a sulking adolescent.
