But I don't like an open ending just like Yue Qi and Jinzhao ( in Sword and Fairy ) where they meet again and…
I'd rather have a sad ending than an open ending or an unknown ending in which we don't even know what happens next. Someday or One Day (a masterpiece TW drama) had a quite open ending though they made a special episode to make up for that. But, I still hope LGIEF at least make a 10-minute logical happy ending. More romantic scenes please π₯²
Just finished episode 15, and it's such a hilarious episode π. Ding Yu Xi's portrayal of Mu Sheng is spot on…
The first Cdrama that I wish to be longer than 32 episodes with more of the leads' interaction, ultimately Miao Miao and Mu Sheng. Ding Yu Xi ate this role as Mu Sheng and Esther fits the role of Miao Miao very very much. I can't praise Ding Yu Xi enough. His eyes speak louder than anything in conveying his feelings and thoughts. His portrayal as a bad boy at first has been the best one in Cdrama land so far IMO
If thats the case this would be my second drama after Arsenal Military Academy where the makers would have wasted…
In Arsenal, they said that it was because of the soldier-themed drama so they cut the kiss scenes. But, here is not the case. It's just a period idol drama in which any actors and actresses are not prohibited to do so. I just find it strange and unreasonable. It's not that Esther and Yu Xi are not cooperative in such kiss scenes if needed
Looking at how Ding Yu Xi answered the interview, it's highly possible that there won't be any kiss scenes as I read the Chinese subtitles on someone's Weibo post. I'm not saying that kiss scene is a must. But, when you have Ding Yu Xi and Esther who have great chemistry together and definitely can do good kiss scenes, why did you decide not to have any? π€ even in LBFAD, there were quite a lot of kiss scenes and Ding Yu Xi in Love You Seven Times (though the drama was bad), at least there were kiss scenes. Wang Yi Xu and Stellar Media are the producer and the production company behind LGIEF, then why didn't they shoot kiss scenes? Even the novel had many kiss parts. Even 1 good kiss scene will do a favour for the loyal watchers. It's not like a period drama can't have any kiss scenes. Really wondering the reason why. Even the actor said that in the interview, then it may be true that until the end, they won't have any kiss scenes.
fawk this show is so good, i wanted to wait to binge but i was like lemme just see and omgggggggg im hooked now…
He's very very dashing in this role. Whoever the stylist is, she/he has done an amazing job here. The hairstyle suits him to the max. His acting is very mesmerizing as well. I think this Mu Sheng role will be his greatest role that will be known for a long long time
It was the same in manhua and novel so probably going with the same flow
I read the novel and manhua as well. The manhua was in the raw version and I read that back then. But, from what I remember, the unnecessary parts in the drama recently shown to us were not in the novel/manhua and the unique interaction between the system and Miaomiao is not well executed enough in the drama.
Though I do agree the plot has been going unruly these days, I still love this drama very very much. The high quality production, acting, and creative story in the beginning until the half of this drama make this drama stays strong at no. 1 in my heart.
But, I do think that it's a pity. It has all the ingredients to be one of the most memorable and the best costume dramas out there. It even gets to be broadcasted on Netflix which can make this drama skyrocket even higher internationally. This drama reached high popularity as well with 30,000 heat index. Not just that, AvenueX, the famous youtuber who's been very picky about her choice of dramas, she complimented this drama a lot on her video.
I really hoped for the best for this drama as you know, this drama has Ding Yu Xi with amazing acting skill and Esther Yu who fits the role of Miao Miao very much. Yu Xi really ate this role! I just hope with 7 episodes left, it can get back on track like the amazing parts in the beginning until the half.
For those who haven't watched this drama yet, please don't hesitate to watch it as this drama is one of the most unique ones in the C-drama land with 2 leads who have great acting skill and chemistry (I don't know why I saw someone's (only one person though) comment that Ding Yu Xi and Esther Yu don't have any chemistry. IMO, they have been so great together since Moonlight days and even better here? I even think that Esther and Yu Xi have the greatest chemistry compared to them with their other costars. Esther was good with Zhang Bin Bin and Dylan Wang, but her chemistry with Yu Xi is on another level. Ding Yu Xi also has the best chemistry with Esther so far)
Idk, if it's only me who felt that last 2 episodes were very lazily executed. It had no intensity, I didn't feel…
The last 2 episodes might actually be weaker than the stronger ones in the beginning and the half. But, IMO every drama has their own weak parts (even in LBFAD, their quite weak parts were the ones in human realm when they met Chang Heng's human version) and for this drama, the last 2 episodes may be their weak ones. Nonetheless, maybe because I love this drama so much, I can tolerate the weaker parts. I just hope the upcoming episodes will be as amazing as the beginning and the half so that the popularity will stay at no. 1
I love this drama so much. I think Tencent has made a quite not so wise choice with 2 consecutive days of airing only 1 episode. Only today they suddenly changed the airing schedule back to 2 ep/days. The Yunhe chart of this drama fell to the 3rd spot. I don't know whether it will be able to reclaim the 1st spot or not
That Little Shrimp who accompanies Duan Wu is just a friend from that pearl farm, isn't he? Not his adoptive younger brother, right? I think I kinda slipped that part during ep 1. I've watched the 4th episode and currently wondering about him
Ding Yu Xi, 2nd male lead, and 2nd female lead were dubbed. It's a pity because Ding Yu Xi and the 2nd male lead's…
His comedic timing also relied quite a lot on his voice back in Moonlight. Nevertheless, I still laughed a lot yesterday binging 4 episodes of this drama lol
sooo umm... tell me, did they use their real voices or not?
Ding Yu Xi, 2nd male lead, and 2nd female lead were dubbed. It's a pity because Ding Yu Xi and the 2nd male lead's voice are good when I watched them in Moonlight
as usual the Chinese media and netizen start to attack the new drama...they attack Liu Xueyi with the only word…
I'm watching Snowy as well. But, does it really do well in China? Though I don't like it and only watching it because of the gorgeous leads, but I'm glad that it does well in China. Because, AvenueX (the youtuber who does review for Cdramas) commented on how bad the drama is and said that it didn't do well in China.
