interesting observation!!! Cool! I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks
yeah, but you might be onto something. There gotta be clues all along otherwise it would be strange if the twin brother just shows up out of the blue, which is a possibility nonetheless
Loved that last scene in ep 6 Mari: Why are you so angry? Kim U yu: Well… maybe because I went botox overboard and now i can’t move my face Mari: oh that makes perfect sense I can’t move mine either so i’ll just stare (all in her mind as she stares)
You are saying that her character in AOS is the same as LND , the smile has left your eyes , soul mechanic , movies…
I don’t understand why you take what I say to heart. This is a space where anyone can voice their opinion about this series and that includes the actors/actresses in it. I don’t see what’s the big deal. I never said that the FL was a bad actress, simply because I don’t think she is. do I think that all the characters she’s played so far are on the same frequency/range? yes I do, but that’s my opinion and good for her this way she doesn’t have work so hard. I’m sorry for hurting your feelings. Keep on enjoying the drama!

If you want to think I’m a hater, go for it. I like her, I really do but not in bland generic romcoms. She needs to stick to those romcoms in the likes of The smile has left her eyes and Because this is my first life because she is perfect for those. Those have a strong story line on their own. She’s very natural and great playing the same character over and over again and some projects are a hit or miss. She’s an A list actress, I’m always baffled why someone with clout decides to go for these type of bland romcoms. What’s the appeal, money? There’s an american actress similar to her, Jennifer Aniston. She’s great playing the same character in almost all of her works and she is great, because she is perfect for those projects. There’s nothing wrong with that. She does it amazingly.
I understand it, her romcom characters can feel similar at times. But, she has taken on very different roles in…
I’ve seen her work and i like her, just not in bland romcoms. I really liked her in The smile has left her eyes and Because this is my first life. She was perfect for those romcoms. The story stand alone was good. She’s very natural, but somehow it seems like she plays the same character over and over and some projects are a hit or miss and I think it has to do with the plot of the story. She’s an A list actress, I’m always baffled why someone with clout decides to go for these type of bland romcoms. I guess the money is good… who knows

You missed the point. Jung So Min is so good at what she does, playing herself. She is great!! In my opinion she just needs to pick good dramas with strong story lines, like The Smile has left your eyes or Because this is my first life. Great kdramas I could watch them any time, not because of her acting particularly, but because of the story. That is my point. She is a dream actress for stories like those. There are other actress that really make the series stand out because of their performances. She isn’t one them and that’s ok because she is fantastic in what she does. There’s nothing wrong with that. I just hope that she stays away from generic dramas like Love next door and this one. These projects don’t elevate her whatsoever.
Have you actually watched Jung So Min? Her characters in lnd and wymm have completely different personalities.…
*I’m recycling my response because I just got tired of writing ;) so here it is.
Perhaps that’s the character that is different from herself, i started Alchemy of Souls, but a few eps in i dropped it. Not my cup of tea, so I guess I miss out on her one of a kind performance. Still I don’t remember that drama being a character driven series, it was more like a story driven series if I remember it well. Don’t get me wrong she is a good actress and she is fantastic playing the same role over and over. She just needs to pick dramas with a strong story line. That’s where she shines. This isn’t it. This one just show cases her limitations. If the story line was mesmerizing no one would care if she played the same role as always.

Sorry if I sound like a hater, that wasn’t my intention. I have really liked some of her works and I like her still, but i just hadn’t realized until now that she seems to be playing herself in all of them. In some series she is fantastic because the series requires a character like hers, it is not the other way around. Like for instance in The Smile Has Left Your Eyes and Because This Is My First Life she plays the same role, no variations and those series were great and I think it is because the story line were strong and her co stars were also just so freaking fantastic just like her. I started Alchemy of souls, but drop it midway, not my cup of tea. So don’t remember her acting being memorable or anything. I just didn’t like that series so I can’t judge it. If her performance was different from her other dramas then I missed out.
When I think of actresses with range that are also romcom queens I think of Kim JI Won, her character from one romcom to another is completely different. You can’t say that she is same person in Fight For My Way, Descendants of the Sun, The Heirs, Lovestruck in the City or even Queen of Tears. You couldn’t take one of those characters and place it in another drama because it wouldn’t make sense. But I feels like with Jung So Min you could do exactly that. Her Playful Kiss character could be placed in This is My First Life or some other drama of hers and viceversa and i wouldn’t notice a thing, the drama would remain unaltered.
Bland at its best. I usually love Choi Woo Shik in anything he is in, but this series i just don't get it. The plot is unrealistic and pretty borring. I could oversee all of that if the chemistry with the main leads was there, but it isn't. I had the same experience with Jung So Min previous drama Love Next Door. I didn't want to agree with those that say that she seems to play the same character in every kdrama, but i have to agree. Her costars are usually carrying the series.
Sorry but Ms. Incognito is excellent drama and it is totally ok to switch realms. This kdrama is exceptionally…
Glad you're still liking it. I really enjoyed the first 2 eps then it just went flat. I lost interest. But I’m aware that that’s just me. The stakes of Walking On Thin Ice have remained high from ep 1. I guess that’s the difference for me.
I recommended ms incognito a couple of times in the comment section but too early! First two episodes were great…
Well… don’t get too excited hehehe you have to change chips completely. It has your typical romcom cliches. If you’re not into them you will not like it. I’m liking it so far, but i know that it won’t be one of my favorites. I like my romcoms quirky or very melodramatic. They have to be very funny or very very sad and Would You Marry Me? is none of those. A bit too safe for my taste
