I don’t like superman and superheroes alike, does that make me a racist?

I didn’t know that it made me a racist if I say “eeew" to movies or series where there are men in tights aka superman, superheroes flying around and doing supernatural stupid stuff. I so dislike that type of movies or series since i don’t understand their appeal. The same goes with these type of fantasy series. I don’t understand why there are so many of them. They all are the same to me, it’s like seen one seen all. But the fact that there’s a new one coming out weekly is concerning the high demand for the same exact content; different guy with different wig, different actress with a squeaky voice and the same result. I guess that what people like.

i must be quite immature, but i still don’t like this genre. I was just wondering why people like them so much. Since there’s a lot of cdramas like these it must be because people really like them. I supposed I’m the weird one. oh well

I didn’t want to insult Chinese culture. I love Bruce Lee and lots of Cdramas, but just not these ones. I find them so ridiculous and quite unbearable specially those aspects that I talked about; the long haired men flying around nonsensically like there’s no tomorrow and those ladies with the squeaky voice. My God can you imagine being married to one of those people? It would definitely drove me off a cliff

No, I don’t think I am. I love some Chinese dramas, but these ones are a huge no no for me. I can’t imagine to be married to a woman that speaks in such high pitch/squeaky voice. it would just be unbearable, not sexy at all. And to think to be married to one of those dudes with the long hair, sweating like crazy, flying all over the place for very simple tasks. No thank you. It is ok if you like that stuff or find it appealing, but i just don’t get it.

There must be a lot of people who like men in long wigs flying around defying gravity and women with squeaky voices because there's a lot of these type of dramas to go around. I just don't get them

I hate to be that person that compares dramas, but I do agree that this one is way better than that Law and the City. I believe that the script for Beyond the Bar is a lot stronger. The characters are built way more intricate than the other drama.

I wasn’t planning on watching it since I don’t really like law dramas, but I did and I’m happily surprised that I actually quite like it. The cases are serious, but somehow they don’t feel heavy. I’m invested in our main girl back story and her relationship with that asshole boyfriend of hers. So yeah, my recommendation would be to give it a try. It only takes half an episode to see if it’s something up your ally.

I just finished watching ep 1 and I gotta say that i’m not super invested in the story line and its characters, something seems off, but I love the leads so I’ll continue watching before dropping it. It might just grow on me… we’ll see..
