I was pretty much non-stop crying in episodes 5 and 6. 😭

My heart hurts for Lin Zhi Xia! 😭I spent episodes 5 and 6 with tears flowing down my face. She is such a sweet character who happens to be wicked smart, and the isolation was getting to me. I feel like Jiang Yu Bai was rather an ass for how he treated her and spoke about her when grouping up with that other team (I don't have an issue with him wanting to be competitive - the issue was how it all went down and how he talked about her behind her back). Then tries to make up with her after with paper airplanes... like for real? I don't know how much of a win it really is when they hobbled their competition by stealing their team member. I think there are going to be more bumps, so this should be interesting!

As soon as I saw him, I was like, "Oh, no, my dude, not again!" 😂

I'm getting a little tired of Wu Lao Gou's emotional outbursts. He exhausts me. Otherwise, this is pretty fun to watch, and it looks like we will be moving the story forward now.

The citizens who need help aren't the political climate I am speaking of. I am referring to the political world of the ministers and the power struggle between the chancellors, ministers (of which she is now part), and the emperor. I think we all agree that the corrupt need to go, but there is a way that should be done depending on the political climate.

Yes, she can have emotions, but shouldn't be ruled by them.

I'm not asking for her to wait until the political climate changes, but to have an *awareness* of what is going on. The emperor himself has to hold back on what he has to do because there is a smart way to go about things, which is the opposite of what she is doing.

After they had a verbal match in the graveyard, Qingyi was so mad that he decided to requisition the theater she runs to move in. The last bit is him taking over and clearing everyone out, so it will just be him and the fam in the theater for the time being. 😂

I agree with you. I really wish he would stop falling for her triggering words. And yes, the only good thing Li Boze said was to stop dragging him into her business.

I thought we were supposed to have a smart FL character. Thus far, I haven't seen much brain activity coming from her. She lets her emotions rule everything she does and appears completely oblivious to the political climate they are in. The way she disrespects the emperor is on a whole new level that I don't find funny. I'm fine with some banter and some back and forth, but she goes beyond that to complete disrespect. I really hope there is some character growth for her.

Man, Li Boze is really working hard to become the most irritating character in cdramaland. The things that come out of his mouth. He thinks of himself as this great savior, but what has he really done? He makes it sound like Qingyi just went away on a vacation for seven years, not actively fighting battles. Get out of here with your foolishness! Then we have Ren Susu just being her lying and manipulative self. I was rather amused at the end of the episode when Qingyi commandeered her place. This is going to get fun, fam! 🍿

I have to agree about the rating here. This show is not perfect; that is for sure. But a 6.9? Get out of here with that foolishness. Does this show send me into a rage on a regular basis? Yes. Am I loving it daily? Also, yes. I agree that this is a solid 8 if not a bit higher. I will continue to enjoy and hope others will disregard the rating and see if they like it for themselves.

I personally can't wait for episode 27. I think we are going to need a vat of popcorn for that show and all the tea that Qingyi is going to serve. 🍵

Li Boze is a special level of dim and oblivious. He deserved that punch.

In the preview, when she says he isn't good enough to be the father, I'm like, girl, have you looked in the mirror lately? We finally saw his comeback, which made me snort. I think episode 27 is going to be FUN!

Yep, this is his master plan to keep them apart. However, Qingyi clearly has other plans.

I swear in one scene his mask slipped and part of the tattoo was visible. He moved lighting fast to cover it.

The rating for this show is meaningless since there have been people review bombing and elevating the entire time. I don't know why people are so dependent upon a manufactured number to indicate whether they should watch a drama. You should be able to start watching it and see if it is for you. For me, this drama is entertaining, and I enjoy it a lot. I know it is not what a lot of people like, but I really have days where I want to watch messy melodrama filled with slaps and gunplay. 😂
