And not to mention the FL suddenly joining the war and even leading the ML’s men with no proper military training.…
She was trained by her father, who was in the military. While she doesn't know all the military rules, she has martial arts training from her father. The rules can be picked up easily enough. And I second what indudewi mentioned... in times of political instability, earning positions through merit was fairly common.
I'm currently watching on iQiyi because they usually have better subs. I will watch again on WeTV (they have some…
I will definitely check out Netflix then. Yeah, there were a few times in How Dare You! where the lyrics did get in the way a bit. I haven't noticed that happening in POJ, though.
On the one hand, it is nice that they provide a translation of the song lyrics, but I just wish they could figure out a better way to display them. I think on Viki, they alternate between the top and bottom of the screen when they are at the same time (if I remember correctly), and that seems to work fairly well.
Ok I heard that Netflix has the best subtitle for the part that Xie Zheng said he’ll only love Fang Chang Yu…

Something that's been bugging me from early on when Changyu was preparing the court appearance to keep the house:…
Her mom did try, but Changyu isn't the best student. This is why parents aren't always the best teachers: when you face a more difficult student, you have to reach them where they are to help them want to learn.
I watched yesterday episodes, and I am confused about Qi Min / Sui Yuan Hai story 🥲, I need explanation 😭😭😭😭??!!…
Qi Min/Sui Yuan Hai is the previous emperor's grandson (son of the Crown Prince - so the real prince). He was swapped with Sui's eldest son in the Eastern Palace fire 17 years ago, so he was raised by Sui. I hope this helps.
It would be nice if we got it earlier, but I was thinking maybe Wednesday or Thursday.
I was legit doing math with the number of episodes being released and the typical number of episodes released in Express. Interesting way to use my algebra skills. 😂
They actually combined his character with another from the novel.... and poorly at that. But i guess it was to…
Thanks for clarifying that. I haven't read the novel yet (I plan to once I'm done watching), so that actually makes sense as to why his character seems to change, and your assessment of why (side with his faction) does make sense here.
i feel soo bad for changyu she been kept in dark for soo long
I've been feeling this way for some time. Poor girl learning about her father the way she did was heartbreaking. At least she has a feeling something isn't quite right with the story she was given, and I hope she finally learns the truth. Basically, everyone who was important to her has lied to her. That has to hurt.
I am really disappointed with Li Huai An. He took out his failings on FCY. After the past skirmishes/battles, I can only assume that he has a leadership role due to his relationship (protege) with General He, rather than actual talent. That guy needs to learn to stay off the battlefield, as that is definitely not one of his strengths. To say what he did to FCY was uncalled for, and I hope he doesn't keep going down this man-baby road.
Not a hater, but the war plot is really messed up. Half the time, they don’t even explain anything. In that mountain…
1. Yes, when an army is left without its leader, the battle is essentially over (and they lost). So yes, the ML's army was the victor because once the opposing general was dead, the foot soldiers fled. This is a fairly standard military tactic.
2. Half the people had to remain at the dam to not alert the enemy as to their plans. This was explained by the Grand Tutor. They saved as many as they could, but they needed some to stay behind so the Sui army couldn't figure out what they were up to.
3. In the latest battle, they did split their forces into three fronts. General He stayed to protect the city itself; ML went to confront the main force in a surprise attack; and Li Huai An was in the rear to support the ML. They knew they had fewer numbers, so they had to use alternative battle tactics to gain the advantage, which they ultimately did.
Much of this is explained by different characters, but some is more obvious if you know anything about military tactics.
