it's sad how her being kind can be taken as a weakness. not everyone is going to fight back, but that doesn't mean they're "letting" themselves be bullied. rather than criticising her, they should be calling out her teammates who are mean and petty. that said, i really did not like JSY making comments without knowing both sides of the story.

ps. how she took what JSY said to her showed that she isn't weak.

i thought the pacing was good, but i also felt it could be shorter somehow. lol. although the core issues that drove the plot were nothing new, this was written better than similar dramas.

i love her sm! her character was written pretty well

omg i just found out that this is now on netflix—i'll take it as a sign to rewatch.

this show has too many toxic relatives

this was fun and a lot lighter (and shorter thank god) than similar dramas. i tend to avoid this genre because palace politics / power struggles stress me out, but the role reversal theme intrigued me. i also liked the mother's character. do i agree with everything she did? no—but she's one of the more likable / respectable drama mums with flawed parenting styles.

i need a refresher on the rules / technicalities of their powers. i'm too impatient to rewatch season 1 before watching season 2. lol.

when i fly towards you is a youth drama, but it was based on a novel by the same writer of hidden love :)

i also thought he could be in a coma since they never did say he died outright. i guess they kept it vague deliberately so they could continue the story / "change" the ending depending on how the viewers respond to it — hence the movie. tbh tho, i'm pretty satisfied with how the drama ended. it was quite moving.

i'm so so so happy mingi didn't turn out to be her first love in a past life like she assumed. it would've made his "meddling" in the present seem so bitter and cringey.

i'm so used to seeing choi jin jo (the actor playing seo ha's dad) as the villain in dramas, i was so sure he was behind everything. lol. that scene with him kneeling down felt like he was asking for redemption for all his evil deeds in other dramas.

some of the acting is a little cringey / feels forced to me, but overall i am so intrigued by the story and the characters. i think my fave duo so far is the fl and her (original) seatmate.
