fair. this kind of absurd palace in-fighting is pretty common among c-dramas. i also don't think the show strayed too far to what it is at its core—a soap.

how do u guys define filler episodes? cause i've seen several comments since the divorce saying that almost every episode that followed were fillers. do they mean filler until the couple's reunion? cause when i think filler, nothing much happens—but there's literally someone new she has to fight each day now that it makes me miss predictable jundai. lol. i'm curious what this palace-centred second half is building up to though. like, is she going to be the emperor or something? :)) i know she's fighting for her self (both past & present) and for the people, but i wonder where that road will eventually lead her to.

i mean, her mother also had a kind face and was the perfect daughter-in-law, but she turned out to be more vile than jundai and her mother. so are we really surprised the cousin is any different? i'm just dumbfounded that she actually thinks she can get away with everything by hiding behind the crown prince. if wei rao can bring down an empress, she can definitely get rid of her.

i mean, LZ supports her no matter what, so why can't they? lol. i especially get surprised by comments that go something like, "i don't care what she's been through, she doesn't deserve LZ." maybe they're just rage bait, but it's kind of sad to think that maybe some people, even other women, really think that way.

omg i thought i was the only one who felt uneasy seeing HL shirtless in the estate. he's such a creep! i'd choose poison over being pursued by someone like him. the only thing he ever did that i agreed with is when he told Qi that he had no shame for running to the estate as soon as LZ and WR got divorced despite being LZ's closest friend.

i’ve been disappointed with qi ever since he told LZ that she wasn’t his “real wife” anyway. before he said that, i was holding off judgment and hoping he was only helping wei rao as a friend.

i like how, upon seeing a semi-naked, semi-dead HL with WR, LZ’s primary concern was, “you still have feelings for me, don’t you?”
