huhu came here to complain after seeing the teasers for 17 & 18. i can't stand noble idiocy, but i don't mind them separating if it's just for show. mind spoiling what he was tortured for? my mind immediately went to, "omg is yu trying to take her as his concubine??"

i'm looking forward to that self-righteous ass' miserable ending and yake realising betraying her friend led to her misfortune.

i always regret watching the teasers for future episodes but keep watching them anyway 😑 please please i don't want the same noble idiocy storyline from melody of golden age that lasted until the last episode!

and based on the preview for episode 11, she was right again about the obstacles and enemies the two leads would face.

cartoonish is accurate. i'm tired of those hysterical concubines and in-laws tropes.

no wonder she seems so natural. this is the first time i've seen this actress and this kind of character. i usually see the madam zuo type of villain most of the time.

the fact that she's hard to read is one of my favourite things about her character. you can't trust her to be on your team, but you definitely do not want to get on her bad side. lol.

madam yu is the kind of female antagonist i'd like to see more of in a drama. she's extremely calculating but in a rather elegant way.

i guess that's what the son meant when he said he'd be marrying two of them (forgot the exact words). marrying ting yun is like marrying his mother lol

when i read the synopsis, i assumed she was going to be betrayed by her in-laws or a concubine in her family as these dramas often go. damn.

is there noble idiocy in the novel? i loved the two leads in melody of a golden age but did not like how he pushed her away toward the end.
