Between filming, promotions, pre-production, and ads, I was wondering if the poor girl ever took a day off. I'd prefer to see less of her, and her stay healthy and on top of her game.

Agree. The number one rule of watching Chinese dramas is: Get used to disappointment.

I've loved since Oh My Emperor. Even my mother, who hates anything subtitled, was like "Who is that girl? She's fabulous?" I also like that she's a very physical actress, she uses her body as much as her voice and her facial expressions, which is what people do in real life, but many 'actors' do not.

It was too over the top. And the fact that nobody noticed that the body wasn't stiff was just pure stupidity. I snort laughed my way through most of the episode.

Ep 28 was quite funny, but I don't think it was meant to be. It was like Romeo and Juliet meets Weekend at Bernie's.

I'm on ep 29, and this is draaaaaaaging. It's just scene after scene of plot points we've seen many times before. Totally different drama from the first few episodes.

Chinese dramas are so unreliable, and it really pisses me off. And the ratings on MDL don't help, because the fact that this is currently 8.4 BLOWS my mind. Every character is now just a caricature of a character we've seen before.

Popularity has been decreasing because this has gone to hell in a handbasket. No amount of releasing express or whatever is going to help this drama. It started off so well, I was hooked. It's just utter rubbish now, and nothing we haven't seen before. None of the scenes have any emotional impact now, we're just watching rehashed scenes from other dramas. I'm so disappointed with this.

Yes, and as you said, it's like even though she was in love with another man for years, (and especially because she ADMIRED his principles so much) she just woke up one morning and decided to be in love with another dude because he was writing about her in his 'diary'? And the day after she decides she loves him, she now lives him so much she watches him choke someone, and is like "well this is a tricky situation, because this isn't cool, but I'm MADLY, DEEPLY, PASSIONATELY in love with this dude" What the fuck even is going on with this drama now? And currently we are just skipping from scene to scene to scene, with zero character development, and it has gone to ABSOLUTE shit. I shouldn't be surprised by now at how unreliable Chinese dramas are, but I'm really surprised that there are people saying it's still really good.
