I like your reviews on chinese dramas so muchhh, I'd buy a book as a compilation of your reviews. Please don't…
Thank you so much!!! I have been a bit behind on my reviews so I need to jump back on that. I really appreciate that people are actually reading my reviews and articles ^_^

Wuxia and xianxia dramas are not considered historical so the prime time quota for historical dramas are not applied…
I wasn’t sure about that because the flame’s daughter which is also wuxia was released as a web series (which I had heard was because of that quota, but I might be wrong!)

On episode 34 now:The episodes can seem less enjoyable now compared to the first half (1-26). Luo Xi, ma boi,…
Yeah he’s supposed to be both. (Which is fairly common nowadays) that’s why he was a judge on the singing competition at the beginning. But yeah they seemed to focus both of them more on acting afterwards cause it was easier to create drama for it I guess haha. I don’t actually remember the original series too well so idk if that was true then as well.

I’m caught up with everything that’s aired so far. I think I’m just getting my hopes up but there’s the slightest chance they’re gonna change the ending from the original and have her end up with Luo Xi. There’s only 4 episodes left and they don’t seem to be putting as much attention on her relationship with Ou Chen. So here’s hoping lol

I was reading other comments and it seems like the majority prefer Ou Chen but I really don’t see why. He’s literally just the same person who tries to manipulate her life and make t so he’s the only one in her life. It’s just so psycho. Luo Xi actually seems to like her and I don’t see why Xia Mo would fall for Ou Chen. (And again I almost always root for the girl to end up with the main male, but I really dislike Ou Chen this time around.)

I think he’s fairly popular honestly. Money wise, he’s only been popular for not even 3 years, so he’s comfortable but not mega rich. Especially where I am now (so 28) it’s right after all the issues with Ou chen’s company and him dropping out of the war flag movie, so his reputation is a bit shaky? But I think it’s fitting for how long he’s been in the entertainment circle.

I'm really with you on this. I had seen the original drama (years ago), so I have a vague memory of what happens by the end. Especially this time around, I REALLY don't like Ou Chen at all. Most of the time, I'll really like the second male lead, but still want the main couple to end up together, but I seriously don't like the main lead at all.

I doubt he'll get better, but I'm super over how possessive he is, even when they aren't together. I'm on episode 24 now, but like him buying her entertainment company, making himself her manager, trying to get Luo Xi in trouble for "leaving his film shoot unapproved" etc. It's just all so ridiculous and psychotic.

Even in the past scenes, I didn't care for him. And now he's really just the same person - trying to control her life and everyone in it. I felt like they put more emphasis on her relationship with Luo Xi this time around and was really hoping they might change it up, but from reading your comments, it seems unlikely... T_T

Amnesia, old lovers, love triangle, arranged marriages, etc. seems like the makings of another decent Chinese drama haha

So I skimmed through the synopsis on BaiDu (got a few major plot points, but definitely missed some stuff haha). Seems interesting, but feels a bit familiar? I guess you can only ask for so much with a Chinese dramas lol. I do like the female lead Zhang Xue Ying. I’m watching summers desire now and I actually really like her. Aarif Rahman i’ve Only seen in Wu Ze Tian, but I didn’t dislike him, so that’s good.

Ok I feel a bit better then. I get it that she’s super wrapped up in revenge and whatnot but for a supposedly logical, sensible, worldly person she just acts so ridiculous when it comes to her fathers murderer and Qin Sang

I’m currently on episode 31 and I really need people to explain to me why Yan Yun is so ridiculous ????
Clearly we the audience know that Pan Jian Chi/Li wang Ping was the person who assasinated Fan zhi Zheng. Yi Lian Shen has his doubts because of the pen he found, but how in the hell did Yan yun come around to thinking it was him??? Did I miss something? From the perspective of the characters there hasn’t been a reason for her to expect him and she accuses him of it but legitimately has NO REASON OR EVIDENCE. I seriously have to have missed something because why would she all of a sudden think it’s him? The uniform fitting him? But it’s not like he had a fake
Uniform made for him, it was probably stolen from someone in the MuRong family army - so that can’t be an excuse. Yes he found one that fit him well, so that’s kind of a factor, but i’m Sure there’s other people with similar body size to him - so that couldn’t have been her reasoning

I’m actually on episode 27 also haha. And yup. She still overthinks and just makes rash decisions, but at least they are in love for real at this point haha.

It also brought together the cutest SongxSong couple that the world definitely needed.

It’s more that her character overthinks things in my opinion? There’s miscommunications between the two which just keeps building on top of each other, but again, many of her decisions make it seem like she’s just trying to pretend to be a loyal wife. (I.e. in the first episode: she rushes up to the mountain to be with Lan Po, but honestly why does she care that much since she supposedly doesn’t love him?) Idk it’s hard to explain.

I have waited for this drama since I watched the trailer ,perhaps 1.5 y The trailer was stunning ,so I will wait…
I like Sun Yi as an actress. She was really great in Because of You and I liked her in the other dramas she was a support role in. So far her character is super meh for me, mostly because I dislike how much she doesn't care about her life currently. She has a passive view about everything that Yi Lian Kai is involved with, but then suddenly seems to care about him at other points (and it's at times that make her seem like she really is just doing it to pretend like she's a good wife.) I'm sure she'll get better soon (I'm around episode 17 at this point) so here's hoping things get better!

It seems that they are starting to show flashbacks of how they met and began now and soon get into the next stage of their relationship. Don’t give up! But yeah there are times when she annoys me just because she has completely given up on any kind of happiness with him even when he is clearly trying to make things better. *sigh*

Oh yeah definitely. Even though they’ve been married for 2 years they aren’t like a lovey dovey relationship. They have a fairly strained relationship with distrust and misconceptions so they’ll begin showing the beginning of their relationship and how things change soon! Definitely recommend!

Yes! I honestly really enjoyed it. Even with all of the criticisms against Yu Zheng, I honestly enjoy his works because they balance out drama and romance and comedy and whatnot pretty well for me. Untouchable Lovers was one of the dramas I was dying for new episodes to come out.

They never recover their memories. After episode 16, it’s like a completely different story. They bring the story back around in the very last episode returning to Princess ShanYin manor but that’s about it. There’s no mention of their time in Song together or anything about Zhu Que/Liu Chu Xiu after that.
