I thought this show was about a high profile wife divorcing her rich douche-y husband trying to leave him for a better life. Something like the McCartney story but no rockstar life. I don't know why I thought Yea ji was going to play the divorcing wife.
I feel like I catfished my own self because I read the bio wrong
I remember being interested in the premise when this started but then I saw who the screenwriter is and what dumpsterfire…
lucky you. I got caught in her trap . I usually check out the screenwriter and cast before a drama but I totally lapsed. Just discovered who she was a few days ago. I remember the trainwreck blow breeze was and now she's doing the same thing. So much unnecessary drama.
I thought there was going to be a time skips (or lots of time skips) to get to 21 & 25 in a reasonable space of time. Not much living at 21 & 25 (we only have four episodes left). I thought we'd have been there by now . Which leads me to believe that the heartbreak is at 21 & 25 - the coming of age. Not sure how I feel about that.
But I do know that Baek Yi Jin hanging out with a bunch of highschoolers is both funny and sad at the same time. Funny because in high school that 3 year age difference was supposed to mean a lot but in reality he's just a doofus kid like the rest of them. Sad because he literally has no one in his corner since his family trauma and it's the high schoolers who are there for him.
understanding the family dynamics is really the key to this drama. When you get it and go back so much of what they did makes sense. I was really lost in the beginning but I'm glad I stuck with it.
I need the kdrama gods to do their thing for this ending because we know what's coming & I won't be able to watch. I'm going to be so heart broken cause these actors are messing with my emotions. Let's take a hard left into kdramaland please. I'm begging for my future emotional wellbeing.
I was so impressed by Park Hyung Sik's performance. When did he become such a good actor and his stunts were incredible. I was always a Han Hyo Joo fan but I think this was her best match up yet. I loved how they fed off each others' energy and the chemistry felt seamless.
Ok so they finally hit the brakes on this drama. Honestly my obsession was starting to worry me but thank goodness I can let go now after that rubbish they just aired.
But i'm still watching though .... I'm just not hooked like I once was.
se ra's mother and young guk's step mother grew up together and were childhood friends. They lost touch when young…
The only reason she picked se ra for young guk is because she thinks she can get more money out of young guk if his new wife likes her. Young guk currently gives her an allowance which she spends like crazy. she asked young guk for more money which he denied and that made her salty enough to pick se ra for his new wife. she thinks she can control se ra if they get married. (she can't control some rich daughter in law because they look down on her)
also if young guk's sister gets married she will get her inheritance which would make her independent. She too is also living off an allowance from young guk because her getting married is a stipulation of the inheritance. her mother also wants her to get married for the inheritance money because she also thinks that she could get more money out of her daughter.
Now this is what makes young guk's stepmother character layered. because although her daughter can marry anyone to get her inheritance, she still covets acceptance from the rich gang enough to force her daughter into a bad situation.
