I can't believe they keep casting her as secondary, "chubby" female roles when she is so beautiful and gorgeous. Really loved seeing in her Rise of Ning, and look forward to more roles.
I dropped the Korean version because it felt like the FL was too pathetic and ML underwhelming and then picked this one up which was much stronger for the first 8 episodes. Episodes 9 and 10 though it came off the rails. The only drama that seems to do this stort in a satisfying way for me is Perfect Marriage Revenge.
The three female leads were fabulous. Suzy looked good whether as glamarous or as dirty mechanic, Ahn Eun Jin is so so pretty and such a great actress and had intense chemistry with the angel Ellajel, Lee Joo Young has been rocking it here an in Aema as the bi-queen looking so hot. Steve Noh is very attractive here and very masculine and great screen presence. Song Hye Ko's cameo was gorgeous and so beautiful.
Woo Bin was a lost cause and it was partially the script but partially just his acting. He was somewhere between acting like the genie in Aladdin (the Disney movie) so childish and unappealing and when he did well it was the serious moments.
The second to last episode was great and had me cry but it kept going after that! Suzy at the end was (purposefully?) cringe and funny.
It is a 17 year age difference but the actors looks even older and has so many scandals in the past. They couldn't find a better male lead? It is disgusting and revolting and puke worthy. I don't need to be polite about an actor who has a known bad history and still gets chance as lead because of misogyny.
Saw her in Aema and Genie, Make a Wish and she is so pretty but seriously giving off major queer vibes with the short hair/masc look and so attractive. Like my heart was fluttering in some of those scenes.
I did find ML familiar but couldn't remember which drama I've seen him. Just realised he was the 3rd ML in SoKP.…
He was in fake scandal (look up white paper) and they try to ruin his career. I agree he really is ML material, he stood out in SoKP and here he is so much fun.
Korean media and fans and antis really need a tough lesson on just not being aholes. If she is dating it is not a scandal, it is a normal human thing. Let people live, they don't owe you their bodies and lives because you liked their show or music. You don't own her, ffs.
Started off well but then went into cliche territory and the last few episodes around the emperor's mom were awful (and the last one which was the "resolution" was so quick). FL looks great, ML looks so good or like a goblin depending on the hair (and sometimes the weird wig is so obvious it is awful). So ML has a beautiful face but they often mess it up. SML and SFL were also good (and SFL gender bending was hilarious) but their story was where the bizarre "magic pills" plot began to ruin things. Have to say the subtitles of "X turned me into Drug Man" were like funny if crazy.
Like another reviewer said if they had gone with the first few episodes where FL is getting revenge and taming the beastly prince that would make sense (and her brother can tame the SFL).
Zhao Lusi looks excellent and I will watch her edits but the ML is downright old, creepy uncle looking and not ML material. I really wish they had a better ML for this. Of all her MLs this is the most dissapointing and charmless. Hoping her next drama she is cast with someone more fitting with her beauty and charm like Song Weilong or Dylang Wang (their mischieveous cuteness would light the screen on fire).
It is such a shame that with this amazing cast and as a sequel to Kill Boksoon, this was so poorly executed. Just all over the place with genre, every plot and character underdeveloped.
Watching it for ML and SML and side characters because the FL is the absolute worst, her face and body expressions are meant to be what exactly - autistic, mentally deformed? Then the SFL is a stalker who forces herself on "hubby" and acts deranged. Whoever wrote the women for this drama seems to hate women and see them as very stereotypical (all the catty office ladies) and one sided.

Echoes of Self is the other one with ML and FL being strikingly gorgeous.
