I loved the story line of this drama, the pacing was good at the beginning but felt rushed at the end. I liked…
have you watched moonlit reunion? the plot is kinda messy towards the end but the chemistry between tian xiwei and the ml there is really good and a lot more than poj imo, tho the storyline is done better in poj
this was so cute and enjoyable to watch! it was kinda a mess towards the end but the characters mostly make up…
I really wanna know how mei zhuyu survived a stab through the heart tho, and how'd he become a cat yao? is wu zhen also still a cat yao? also if he went back in time to take the core into himself instead of wu zhen, shouldn't his dad have passed his power to zhuyu to seal the core and make him the cat lord instead of wu zhen? then how did wu zhen become a full yao? also xuan hui's death was so unnecessary :((( that grey rat deserved a worse death, he got off too easily. not to mention shu suddenly killing himself before the finale was so... futile. it's really a pity that the writing didn't match how good the characters and actors were!
this was so cute and enjoyable to watch! it was kinda a mess towards the end but the characters mostly make up for the plot holes. it's been a while since I watched a xu kai drama, he's really good at playing characters like mei zhuyu. and tian xiwei is really awesome at strong fl characters and looked so beautiful here. I love their chemistry, ngl even more than poj. also the cat scenes were so adorable, as a huge cat lover this is def a plus for me haha
what I loved about this show is that the side characters were so multifaceted and well done, especially the villains. half the time I couldn't even tell if the villains were truly villains at all. it's not so black and white. they are morally grey, with their own reasons and difficulties, which was interesting to see. especially wei yan, he was such a complex character, he seemed so suspicious but strangely also not really an evil guy. it was great seeing the alternate universe at the end, where their original personalities show. makes you realize that one wrongdoing from a ruler could ruin so many lives. also the found family aspect was so beautiful and heartwarming
I feel like they got over mandi's death so fast! I was so sad but suddenly they're laughing and celebrating like they didn't just lose a brother... and then he just got replaced by that kang guy... what about his little sister? they could've showed a bit more of the gang's grief
Li Jie said in episode 27 that he had understood who he was. Yet by the end, we saw him questioning his identity…
yes, li jie's ending is the saddest... after talking with dieyao yuan wuhuo for the last time, he realized that he was born from og yuan wuhuo's obsession to protect his didi, but also became sure of himself, denying that he has been protecting ji ling all this time just because of his origins. like he told ywh, he might have originally found his way to ji ling because of that obsession, but he stayed by him because he got to know ji ling and see his kindness, compassion, and loneliness, and swore to protect him. it no longer had anything to do with either yuan wuhuo and their obsessions. that's why he said he knows who he is now. but the ending made him forget the one he devoted his life to and he lost his purpose... but I headcanon that there is still a ji ling in this world, and that the voice in his heart will eventually bring li jie to find him
Same here. It's like you already know the end. So why would you go through the hard way. You can easily change…
I agree that the journey is what matters over the result, which is why this ending actually ruins this idea. because memories are what make the journey. if you don't even remember the journey, it never happened... the only one that actually made the journey would be wsg who still remembers everything
Is it just me, or does the ending actually make perfect sense?JL and LWY were never meant to exist as “real”…
but li jie literally exists because of ji ling. and same with wu shiguang actually. at what point is ji ling removed from the equation cuz there's cause and effect and if the cause is removed, the whole timeline collapses, which is why I think the ending is so strange
I'm still thinking about the ending and the consequences of the last time travel and something doesn't make sense,…
why don't they remember ji ling? bc if there's no ji ling as long shen, then there'd be no li jie, no wu shiguang and no you chi at shilin. and where is the ji ling of this time? what part of the past was kept and what was rewritten? how far back was it when jiu ying put the piece of oracle stone in lwy, bc she hadn't met ji ling at that point. if ji ling went back so far in the past to kill jiu ying in the fox queen, did they still have to follow the steps of killing all the jy fragments and then chi wen? there's so many loose ends that aren't answered, the way they ended it with this time travel rewrite was such lazy writing ngl, the characters deserved better happy endings with all their hard work kept. or at least have the time travel be closer in time, like if the oracle stone was only put in lwy the last time they were called back during the full moon. then wwy and yc would still be revived and the butterfly effect of time travel wouldn't be as big of a plot hole
that ending really made me feel so empty inside... they all went through so much, sacrificed so much, just for…
also we literally got a flashback from li jie where ji ling says he wanted to be remembered when he passed, and wanted to be mourned as ji ling. and he was before...
is it really the same ji ling? it seems more like an alternate universe since they didn't seem to recognize each other. and ji ling is acting like the past, innocent ji ling. ig it's up to interpretation
I watched this mostly for ruirui and yanan, since back when we'd get reuters of them almost every day and I was so excited to see them back on the screen together. I'm happy to say it did meet most of my expectations! I loved them so much in this drama it's definitely not a perfect story but I really enjoyed it, and all the actors did great. the chemistry for all the ships and duos were amazing and I thought each love story was very touching. since I knew it'd be more focused on visuals and chemistry with this director, I didn't have too high expectations on the plot. it was fun watching as it was airing, having all these theories and getting surprised by crazy plot twists, tho some parts, especially the last stretch kinda read like fanfiction with all the time travel and stuff haha... overall, it was a beautiful drama
that ending really made me feel so empty inside... they all went through so much, sacrificed so much, just for all that to be erased. and all of ji ling's sacrifices as the long shen were wiped from almost everyone's memories just like that. he was so loved by everyone and now he's just gone from their memories. this was his final sacrifice. it's technically a happy ending but it's somehow hard to accept. he gets his happy ending in another world, but I believe memories make a person, and he's not the exact same ji ling that I prayed to get a happy ending and that breaks my heart. what breaks me even more is the fact that even li jie can't remember him. his existence was for ji ling and he truly loved him and now he feels lost and lacking meaning in life. I can only headcanon that he goes to look for that voice in his heart and finds the little fox ji ling that never became a fake deity in this world, and slowly regains his memories. in another world, lwy gets her happy ending with her ji ling, in this world I hope li jie also gets his happy ending with ji ling...
I finished 😭 ig it's technically a happy ending but it's so very bittersweet and not so happy to me... memories are important to me. and everyone except wsg forgot everything, it's so sad
also xuan hui's death was so unnecessary :((( that grey rat deserved a worse death, he got off too easily. not to mention shu suddenly killing himself before the finale was so... futile.
it's really a pity that the writing didn't match how good the characters and actors were!
