when the drama first came out I couldn't watch past ep 37 bc I got put off by all the spoilers about the sad ending and already cried too much but after finishing the last few episodes today long after I accepted the ending, honestly it doesn't change how good the drama was. the ending was a bit much of the writers but the rest was very well written and seeing all the character development even for the people I didn't like in the beginning was great. especially the emperor of wu and li tongguang. it's a classic wuxia story and I wish people would give it a try regardless of spoilers because it's truly a beautiful story
when i started this i wasn't actually expecting much but i ended up really enjoying the whole drama. su muyu and su changhe are great characters and their chemistry is amazing. and i also grew attached to all the anhe family members that the story mostly revolved around. there wasn't a boring episode. i was a bit surprised by how realistic the ending and result of all their struggles was, but it makes sense. of course, for a wuxia, you can't expect an ending filled with rainbows haha. i'm just happy to see smy and sch ride off into the sunset together
ugh su changhe and su muyu's chemistry is through the roof, soulmates fr. so happy I started watching for them, "bromance" is oftentimes the highlight of these wuxia dramas for me
this really cracks me up 😭 I'm not a huge fan of straight comedy so some of the over the top humor makes me cringe but surprisingly a lot of it genuinely makes me laugh. it's so funny seeing general song mo being in these situations;; I'm also looking forward to the serious parts of the plot although the english name of the drama really is cringe 😭
loool this is totally a comedy! tbh every time i see ji bozai i just think about zhao yuanzhou and zhuo yichen xD their chemistry is just unbeatable orz. and lyx's role as shangguan qian is equally too strong. i'm not a big fan of this kind of strong comedy so idk if i'll continue sigh but i might skip thru since i'm curious about the plot
tbh the past few episodes, not much is actually happening but before i know it, the 2 daily episodes are finished! i wish i had the patience to wait until everything's aired before binging but i'm just too curious. the two main leads are addicting to watch, individually and together.
loving it so far. the two leads are both really strong, vicious and strategic, as fitting of their characters. the way they really started of as true enemies was awesome, and I'm looking forward to seeing their relationship develop further. also chen zheyuan is so pretty... I've been waiting to see him lead in a good historical drama so I've been really excited for this
I would have love this drama if they casted someone tougher as the Female General. So far, only two female actresses…
i think the problem is more the way they wrote her character in the script than the casting. she doesn't seem like someone who was able to become a general under disguise, she's too happy-go-lucky, none of the guys in the garrison act like that. mulan 2009 def did well with the girl disguised as man
I’m so disappointed. I’ve read the novel multiple times waiting for the drama but it’s real bad. I dropped…
i feel u. it's objectively not that great so i'm also surprised by the rating. i like the actors and they're cute together but the story's all over the place. i don't watch dramas just for some flirty moments but for good character writing, relationship development, and a solid plotline, so it's also disappointing for me, especially by ep 15 and things aren't improving. she seems less like a female general and more like a random girl who happened to receive a general's memories. that maybe would've worked with the rebirth plotline but not the current one.
I find it hilarious that 2 guys were able to figure out she's a girl but the one girl that interacted with her couldn't tell, even tho she herself pretended to be a man at one point and is a physician. like come on. it's a fun drama but there really is no logic to too many things lol
this is really the best drama I've ever watched. the bar is set so high after watching this, it's hard to find another cdrama I can fully enjoy... all I can do is rewatch this
I rarely watch dramas as it's airing but this had me hooked from the first release! I started watching for ao ruipeng but was really impressed by the story and the rest of the cast. once we reached the first case, the story had a great pace. although the culprits for each case was pretty obvious, they made sure the unraveling of each case was interesting and immersive regardless of if you could figure out who the culprits were before they revealed it. the relationship of the leads were so healthy and loving, though they got together way faster than I expected hahaha. the characters were so lovable with beautiful relationships and I grew attached to all of them! supportive family and friends is so good to see in dramas. I only have a few gripes about the last case in that they kept saying they wanted to bring everyone to justice under the law, but in the end, before they can do that, the "bad" guys all ended up just killing each other... and they worked so hard to discover the truth with evidence only to have the truth just be thrown in their faces in the rebellion. I felt that the writer kind of did them an injustice there. also, people are inherently morally grey, and I wish they explored that more than making things seem so black and white at times. regardless, the ending was wrapped up very cleanly. this drama was really a dark horse, and I see a lot of similarities to blossom, which is I think the best drama I've ever watched. I really enjoyed watching this and hope ao ruipeng gets more great scripts like this!
it's so fun seeing so many characters from moonlight mystique appear haha almost everyone from the fox clan x kunlun arc is here xD every time I see bai feng I still go mu jiuuu!! and though ao ruipeng as fan yue will always be my favorite, I love how his character as yan chi is more silly and boyish, offering big smiles freely when he's not looking cool while working or being serious. he's more like arp himself haha. it's like the middle ground of fan yue and lei wujie :>
i've gotten so attached to yan chi's family of the grand princess and yue ning, they're so cute ;; i really hope…
also if wan'er is adopted into the family, wouldn't she technically be yan chi's cousin too? or later will it be voided bc she's adopted as qin wan and not shen wan?
i've gotten so attached to yan chi's family of the grand princess and yue ning, they're so cute ;; i really hope they all have a happy ending bc they were having such wholesome, heartwarming moments, especially when adopting wan'er, that i got a sudden bad feeling...
