this drama is so sweet. her love for him grew gradually and naturally and their relationship will take time to develop now that she's grown up and they're on more level grounds. i'm enjoying the slow burn, i can't wait to see jiaxu gradually change how he sees her and return her love <3
okay now that i've kinda calmed down... this is the first xianxia drama i've finished, and the first drama at least 40 ep that i've finished since cql. it's got pretty much everything i'd want in a xianxia/wuxia drama and though it's a bit more angst than i'd like and i have some gripes about the rushed ending, it's still an amazing drama. it's also got crazy great rewatch value, especially before ep 35. lyx and bl just have such great chemistry but also their acting is on par with their chemistry, which makes all their scenes such a sight to behold. if only they'd release a special episode like woh to give us some closure, it would be perfect. ttj suffered way too much and sacrificed way too much not to get some sort of happy ending after it all
they need to pay for my therapy wtf was that ending ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ the last like 5 min was so half-assed, couldn't they have given us just a little bit more?? after ep 35 it was literally all suffering no respite, that's so awful. the previous couple ep was already so painful, i was waiting for some happiness to balance it out but it lasted less than a third of an episode. i still love this drama sm but i'm upset as hell
i was surprised by how well jaehan and yechan acted, they were really good. and their chemistry is of course, off the charts. i don't really expect much of plot in these short bl dramas so i just appreciated the nice scenes that came one after the other without thinking too hard about the flaws. i love jaehan and i love his character in this so it was an enjoyable watch. i'm also not huge on kissing scenes so the more subtle intimacy between them is totally fine w me, it's soft and wholesome. i do wish it was longer tho, i felt there could have been another episode between the two timeskips, telling more about taehyun's healing and learning to love again, and showing daeyeol he could love him without hurting him again. anyway basically jaehan and yechan carried this whole drama, even if the plot was different it would have been just as good cuz they were able to portray their characters so well
ngl i'm gonna miss blackened sangjiu tho. bailu's reeally good at those darker characters, after all i first become a fan after seeing her as zhao yao way back when
U can just forward her scenes like some do bcoz honestly they are few and they don't HV much impact in the general…
that's true, she's really just a side villain, which makes her even more unnecessary. it's like her only function is to frustrate watchers 😠ml and fl really carrying the whole show on their backs
villains like th and ybc are just so annoying, to the point i could even drop a drama bc of them. the author really could have wrote a different type of villain, like this backhanded sly type that pretends to be nice and weak is so pathetic and literally everyone hates them. there's so many better ways to write a villain and i'm bitter about that, this drama would be so much better with a more interesting villain
oh btw do MY and SJ and them actually look like TTJ and YXW and the others or is it just cuz they're dreaming that the person they're living as in the dream looks like them?
i think i'm gonna distract myself with other stuff and wait until ep 18 is out before i finish 16-18. stopping before the bich is killed is gonna make me so angry i can't do anything else

"then I loved him, but we've missed each other in life." sounds like a great set up for a BE. are they trying to make it to be HE or open ending w this drama or a BE with even more pain...
damn, i knew i should have waited until it finished airing to start watching... the wait for the next episodes is hell T_____T i'm dreading the tragedy that's obviously coming but i need to know what happens next
it was pretty good but tbh i don't think it deserves this high of a rating. most of the characters were so frustrating it made me almost drop the drama so many times but i sped thru to see the ending, which was satisfying but way to brief to justify the amount of stupidity from the residents throughout the rest of the drama imo. there's gotta be some give and take for the 'good' and 'bad' guys but the good guys were just enduring shit throughout the whole drama and it was really suffocating. not to mention even the good guys made a lot of really dumb decisions that made me question what happened to them. it's like the writers wrote shit just to move the plot forward. i also had high hopes for a badass fl but she was written in a way that made her seem kinda arrogant and an airhead. after all, there's a thin line between confidence and arrogance. thankfully it gets better towards the end tho. but overall there's not really any character that i really feel like rooting for, which is a big minus when watching a show. the most logical character was likely han taeseok, but he also made some questionable choices lol
tldr if you dislike really frustrating situations, it's best to be prepared if you watch this and maybe keep your finger on the fast forward button
originally started this mostly for lee dohyun but ended up staying for the story and its characters. it's been so long since i watched such a gripping and well-written drama. this truly exceeded my already high expectations
they ended the drama really cutely! really enjoyed it overall, great chill drama, kinda similar vibes to our beloved summer, another favorite of mine. not the kind of drama everyone enjoys but i find i enjoy it more and more as i get older haha... im siwan did an amazing job as usual, and so did the rest of the cast!
seongyeom, yeongil and wooshik's friendship was actually one of my fave parts of the drama ahaha they're really so funny and cute whenever they have scenes together
