i'm on ep 14 and i'm sad after the first few episodes, flx basically got stuck in court and can't go out to be hfx and travel freely anymore. being part of the royal family is truly like shackles. i already miss seeing the wuxia side of him
it's a great drama if it can get me hooked on the first episode!! i love a good rivalry and strong fl <3 they're both so likeable too, i'm loving it so far
(spoiler) i'm sad that guy in the first ep died tho, he seemed like such a good guy. it really is hard keeping good people alive, they're all so sacrificial
short and sweet! i really liked their relationship. originally had no intention to watch it cuz i thought it was too cringe, but sometimes i wanna just watch something cute and cliche with minimal drama, and it was less cringe than i thought. life is too stressful to watch intense dramas these days. also surprisingly i actually think ha ri looked pretty different as geum hui?? the power of makeup and a wig lol
i watched this drama once again and love it just as much as the first time. it's just so comforting to me. i'll always be attached to these characters, as they've made a home in my heart
i never knew i could love a drama this much. i've been going through a lot the past few weeks, including my grandmother passing away on my birthday and it just feels like my life is turning into shambles. watching this felt like it was healing my heart. i loved all the characters so much. ung was such a great character and i can see how he was inspired by choi wooshik, and i'm so glad wooshik played him. he's also so much more than the simple image he has in the beginning. yeonsu seemed cold at first but the more i watched the drama, the more i empathized with her and understood her reasons. and of course, wooshik and dami's chemistry was amazing, i'd been hoping for them to have another project together after the witch and it blew me away when i found out about this drama. jiung was really likeable as well, and i loved his friendship with ung. ung's parents were also so great, i thought the actors were perfectly casted. my heart ached watching such a beautiful family. the drama was filmed so beautifully and it might feel slow to some but i thought the pacing was just right. it felt peaceful and realistic, kinda like the documentary it's about. sometimes i just want to watch a heartwarming drama that has no frustrating moments or ridiculous plot twists and is a more mature story that has a good balance of funny and emotional scenes. our beloved summer was a perfect healing drama.
this was such an emotional rollercoaster... i laughed and cried so much it felt like i was getting whiplash lol, i'm such a sucker for familial scenes. i'm also satisfied with how everything was tied up nicely at the end, if not a little cheesily haha everyone's acting was great but lee dohyun was simply phenomenal. i hope he gets more good shows because his acting was so so amazing here.
didn't think i'd ever watch a horror genre but i surprisingly loved it. i got my fair share of jump scares and held my finger over the right key pretty often but it wasn't as terrifying as i'd feared haha. the best parts of the drama were really the ones about the people and their struggles and relationships with others. i thought it was really interesting, this drama was so much more than just fighting monsters. i'm glad i gave it a shot and made it past the first few episodes that seemed more horror focused. waiting excitedly for news of a second season!
missing gu yanzhen... also wish they could have showed more scenes of gyz and xx after they got together, but the romance was kinda toned down because of the patriotic theme of the drama
I really think gong jun was phenomenal here, I can't get over how good his acting as wen kexing was compared to all his other roles. despite not being similar to wkx, he was able to embody him so perfectly... I'm just still thinking about it
ngl I skipped a lot of this drama as I'm the type to zoom through parts I don't care about (such as villains going on a tangent and characters just being annoying) but despite all its flaws, I grew really attached to li chen lan and zhao yao and their love story to the point I'm still thinking about them a year later. xu kai and bai lu's chemistry is through the roof and this drama and AML were so good because of them. wish they'd costar again but it's very unlikely...
everyone was really likable in this drama, the whole zgdx team, jin yang and ai jia, even jian yang. this is the first xu kai drama i've watched without bai lu since none of his other co stars really clicked for me, but this cp was cute. i'm happy to finally watch another of his dramas and love it <3 i think cheng xiao wasn't bad here. if anything i thought the ._. expressions were just part of her character as someone who doesn't show her emotions outwardly all the time, so when she laughed or cried, it felt all the more genuine. hopefully she gets more expressive through practice
