also i've been thinking throughout the drama but liu yuning's eyes are so damn pretty. those beauty marks are perfect too, whenever there's a close up shot on his eyes i'm always in awe. he really suits the wuxia hair up with bangs down look so much, it's really flattering on him. wish people would appreciate his visuals more
i wish liu yuning and fang yilun would keep acting in dramas together! ning yuanzhou and yu shisan's chemistry and friendship was honestly the highlight of the drama for me. their scenes together were always the best and most fun. definitely gonna be rewatching those many times haha
i'm in so much pain rn. i miss the happy episodes so damn much. every single good wuxia drama i've watched this year had a sad ending and it's killing me, like why y'all so obsessed with writing those?? it might be more impactful but it sure as hell is miserable to experience... everything else about this drama was so well written but damn the last few episodes is making me depressed. i'm gonna finish it because i respect the actors' work and i don't want to leave it unfinished, but afterwards, i'm def rewatching all the fun scenes aka everything before like ep 30+
this is really the cutest, sweetest, most heartwarming modern drama ever, i keep coming back to watch parts of it again and again. such great acting and a steady straightforward love story makes for a perfect romance drama. this will be zls and czy's best work for years to come <3
Can anyone tell me in which episode the immature ML will start his 3 trials? 4 episodes, that is about all I could…
end of ep 6! the ml has really great character growth throughout the drama, he ends up becoming my fave among the main characters tbh. in the beginning he's def very naive and idealistic but he learns and matures fast; it's noticeable already after the first trial
i loved this drama, the cinematography was on another level, the characters were all well written and well acted, the plot was interesting and the mystery well done. i saw through most of the plot twists except for the major one in ep 22, which impressed me. that was definitely a great climax. all the characters had growth in themselves and their relationships with each other and i loved that.
my only gripe is that the last few minutes was so unnecessary. if they wanted to bring in another mystery, they should do that in a separate season, not slap it at the very end of this drama when there isn't even a likelihood of s2. and the rest of the ending had been so good up until then, they could have wrapped this drama up very nicely, maybe with a proper wedding or something... i really don't know what they were thinking T__T there seems to be a trend of open endings these days, and sometimes i can understand it but for this drama, it's completely and utterly unnecessary. i'm going to try to pretend it didn't happen, sigh...
wow you're camped here more than actual hidden love fans 🤯 why are you so bitter seeing a sweet story about a young girl w a crush growing up to be a fine young woman in a pure and lovely relationship? hmmmmm
the end of ep 23 always makes me cry. it was sooo touching, the way she wanted him to know how much she loved him. her love for him is so pure and ageless.
the fact that i came across this drama in my yt recommended when it only had a few ep makes it even more special to me bc as i started watching it and realized how good it was, it really felt like i found a gem. i knew it'd prob be good bc zls was in it and just gave it a try without having any expectations, and i'm so glad i did. it really blew me away. this will prob be my fave drama for a long time
this was a fun watch, i started bc of park gyuyoung and kang minhyuk and i stayed for their chemistry plus shihyun. i loved how joonkyung and shihyun both met ari in the beginning and were impressed and drawn in by her character, and all throughout the drama, stuck by her side and supported her. they were consistently good, v solid characters despite the drama trying to trick you into doubting whether they were green or red flags. i def skipped through a lot of the other characters' parts bc the bitchiness of the other e-celebs and 'villains' and the cringiness of their scenes was getting on my nerves though. i feel like they could've shortened those parts down and instead gave more time to ari and joonkyung's relationship, which really gave this drama that extra fire. the tension between them had me trembling ngl. i can understand that they didn't want to dilute the drama and mystery with romance but i was begging for more scenes! more interactions that could flesh out their feelings to make it seem more natural for them to fall for each other and some last scene of them finally together and dating in public not giving a shit about what everyone else thought or smth. speaking of the ending, what was that cameo supposed to mean?? hinting at a possible second season or... like who was he
