Ga Eul had no business waltzing back into her life after 8 months of no word. But at the same time, Ji Yun had no business in trying to propose to him. Regardless, he stated very early on that he didn't believe in marriage. It's not like he didn't tell her. And then she was going to propose to him anyways. Why don't ppl respect their significant other's choices? If marriage was a dealbreaker for her, she had plenty of time to leave him. I don't understand why ppl don't respect other ppl's mindset when it comes their views on marriage. My bestie was against marriage and told her partner that earlier on too. A couple of years later, she's shocked that her partner proposed to her. I was shocked too. Like wtf? She was proposed to in front of ppl, she didn't want to say no but she really didn't want to get married. Luckily, they were able to sort it out and they officially did NOT get married but they're still happy together. Ppl just don't have the same viewpoints when it comes to marriage.

The sfl making a scene and begging her boyfriend not to break up with him is so idiotic. How pathetic to write these women like and ppl breaking up in public places? I abhor this kind of writing and storylines. Ladies, don't ever be like this please and writers need to stop writing this crap.

Yes, I'm thinking years because you just don't go that gray overnight and his hair is pretty much almost all gray within one episode! I did read some other threads so I was just wondering how they were going to explain the sudden hair change.

Like why all of a sudden in the upcoming episode, he has all gray hair?

I was wondering this too. Like is there a big time skip?

I just thought about that too. I think she's the sole survivor. That's what she keeps talking to the dead maid.

I finally found it in again the beginning of EP 4! Apparently the Empress Dowager Guo Jin sought to ascend the throne but Lishan Academy was against it. They took a stand by closing its doors claiming to compile books. Since half the officials were from Lishan, the scholars at court stood by the academy and prevented the ascension of the Empress. The Empress became angry and sent guards to besiege the mountain under the "guise" of protection, not allowing anyone to leave. Then the scholars at court were framed for fake charges, killed, imprisoned or exiled. I think that Ye Li claims to write to everyone but it could be possible that a lot of these people are already dead. Even the scholar who watned the tree cut down.

Okay thanks for the clarification!

Can someone explain to me clearly why Lishan Academy closed their doors and why the Empress sent soldiers to "protect" it?

I love this so far! I also like the actors Kim Mu Yeol who plays the teacher and especially Lee Sung Min who plays the Minister!!

I'm really pissed off that he took blame for the hit and run. So disappointing.

Ep 11 was like, "Let's condense 16 episodes into 12 and put it all in Ep 11!"

The Military Saja Boys was so hilarious but seriously, the song and choreo was chef's kiss! 🔥🔥🔥 I would've loved to have seen Park Ji Hoon part of that group!

There's no romance so far. He refers to her as his best friend but she openly likes him. Has this actor ever done a romance genre? I don't think so...

Oh my bad. I thought it was his sister. Either way the reactions were a bit much.

The soldiers' expressions to his sister was a bit much. I mean she just seems like a simple, homely young lady. Geez.

They don't explain who Lim was but they obv didn't like him. I'm assuming he died or something happened to him and as soon as he was gone, she lost her backing and they punished her by sending her to that base. Yeah that guy waiting for her obviously doesn't like her. I'm not liking how she's not being shown any respect at all. I like how truthful she is.

I went back and read your question carefully edited my comment!🤪

Omg, the ML is pulling this off perfectly! His expressions and denials are so funny!

That's not answered in today's episode and I don't think that will be answered in tmrw's either.
