Why does the genre says Romance / Comedy...It's so sad...;__; ♥
Sometimes a wrong genre on a show can lead to people dropping it or not even picking it up. Its pretty bad, but you can't always put a genre on a show until you have watched enough episodes or if the network correctly advertises it.
I saw first 2 eps and found them quite dull.... does the pace/story pick up or should i just cut my losses now…
If you don't like slow paced stuff then I don't think this is the show for you. I personally love shows that focus on emotion and tug at my heartstrings, so I have been thoroughly enjoying each and every episode. As a general rule I give a show 2-4 episodes and if its not my thing then I drop it. So you could either watch 2 more episodes and drop the show or if you liked it then great, you won't miss out, there are many other wonderful shows out there to watch.
I thought it would be warm, happy and full of fun but it turns out to be a serious tearjerker. Nonetheless, this…
I wasn't expecting anything to be honest~ I never trust tvN trailers any more xD But I love this show so much. Its so good, I wish more people were watching it. The characters are fantastic and the story is nothing original but it has so much emotional weight that I am invested in every characters growth. I wish there were more shows like this.
If something bad happens to Taek I'm going to forever loathe this series! He is such a cute puppy :( Props to Park Bo-Gum for making a character with very little dialogue shine as brightly as the rest of the cast. This is the first Answer Me series that has me more invested in the friendships then the love-lines.
Seriously, I'll give up this drama if they make it only about weight loss. Take a hint from She was Pretty - there…
Honestly I hated the makeover in She was Pretty. But it was just her applying make-up. I really loved her curly hair and it was a shame to straighten it out. I still think it would have been better if she had kept her original style, none of the characters that mattered treated her any differently, she was the one with low self-esteem and 0 confidence.
If they married ~ they would be such a power couple and the babies!!! I can't even fantasies how adorable their babies would be!
Hmmm I sound like a mad person dreaming that two actors get together xD
I personally rate episode 1 a 7.5~ the main leads have so much chemistry together that I would watch them paint a wall for 16 episodes! Also Kang Joo-Eun isn't a pushover, so I'm totally rooting for her and can't wait for the bickering to start in full force.
I don't understand the hate about a weight loss character? The first episode wasn't that great~ so I would understand people criticizing a show for that but when you read the synopsis you should know what to expect.
The story line is actually very believable (the part about her gradually gaining weight & then wanting to lose it because of a prick~ not so much her snagging a sexy chaebol), because this happens frequently in real life. I've known many a couple who broke up for similar reasons, because when you are in a stable long-term relationship and have a demanding job you tend to forget to take care of your body (eating, sleeping, and excercising). This doesn't just happen to females, males also tend to let go, or in some cases overeat due to stress.
Kang Joo-Eun is far from being unhealthy, she is overweight yes~ but that does not mean she is obese. I am 5'1 and 46kg but I am not a healthy person because I have very little muscle mass (currently hitting the gym and changing my diet to fix that). It may look dumb in a drama when a slightly overweight female starts exercising and paying more attention to her body image (after being dumped), but you wouldn't roll your eyes or laugh at that when you see it happen in real life. As for her being "pretty" ~ haven't any of you seen or know people who are overweight but are still stunningly beautiful? You don't need to be stick thin to have good skin, hair, or be beautiful. I know lots of "skinny" people (including myself) who have blemished skin. So please stop with all the nonsensical comments about how good she looks in a fatsuit and how unbelievable it is. Did people expect Shin Min-Ah to gain weight & to lose it on a live shoot schedule? Just to make it more realistic? You shouldn't tsk at a character for wanting to lose weight, because it isn't an easy task. But the skinny pretty girl gets guys falling for her trope is very lame and tiring~ so I hope the writer manages to pack some emotion into the characters and the drama moves me.
That being said, the first episode wasn't so great but i'll be watching the show till the end since I love Shin Min-Ah and So Ji-Sub. I do hope tonight's episode is better and that people don't rate a drama after watching ONE EPISODE.
ps. The synopsis for this show is just plain horrible, it couldn't be any more off-putting if it tried.
pps. How many chaebol's does Korea have? I feel that its quiet likely to get on a plane, land in Korean, and the first person that you bump into has a 90% chance of being a chaebol.
I really wish I could watch this but that manga ending has forever ruined this story for me ;_;
When I saw things getting weird in the manga I dropped it XD I know what happened since a friend told me ~ but i'm grateful that I didn't see it happen with my own eyes. Its a shame that one of my favourite manga's went to sh*t in the end. It is a heart warming manga. You should read Love So Life if you like Usagi Drop!
