This K-drama felt pretty bland to me. I still think Shin Hae-sun is a great actress, but there was nothing really exciting or different about this role and production. It's just more of the same mass-produced content. I used to love watching K-dramas, but it's very rare for me to genuinely like one these days. It seems like they've lost what I valued most, which was the depth and dimension of the human experience.
Today I saw the finale of a true work of art. It was like walking into a gallery and discovering an artist you’d…
100% agree. I never thought there would be a Chinese drama portraying the life of women in the business world with so much authenticity. I still have to watch the last episode, but it's already one of may favorites.
This drama is not bad. Fast paced and multilayered characters. And I don't care if there is or will be cheating, dramas are supposed to be a representation of live, a complex mixture of good and evil.
From the guest roles to the supporting and main actors, there is no weak performance to be found in this drama. "My Mister" is one of my favorite series, and I am truly grateful to have had the chance to watch such a thoughtful adaptation. With more episodes, I could have delved even deeper into the lives and emotions of Jiang Jia Qi and Zhou Yu An, while also gaining a richer perspective on the nuances of the secondary characters.
For me, Jia Qi's final cry in the last episode was brilliant—the culmination of all the pain he (and I!) had been feeling, conveyed through subtle micro-expressions and suppressed emotions. I also feel compelled to watch more of Zhang Zi Feng's work. The entire team—director, writer, producer, everyone—did an exceptional job.
How old Jiang Mu is supposed to be? I'm not complaining about a supposed age gap, I just want to understand the plot. I thought she was in college because she wrote in the last letter she was entering high school and years have passed ever since. But now she said she wanted to go to the same school Jin Zhao studied...I'm confused, help!! I think they look endearing together and like that MuMu at least knows some fight moves and is a smart girl.
Forgot to say that ending OST is very beautiful. People should pay more attention to XianXia/Wuxia and historical c-dramas OSTs. It would make their understanding of the stories less binary.
Ning is such a nice kid. I need now a second season with him and uncle Qian Qing slaying and keeping Great Qi safe ;) I truly hope there will come a day when people stop complaining about HExSE. This drama only mistake was CangCang's character development. She should have more prominence and leadership. But overall, this drama had a lot of emotional and beautiful parts, happy and sad at the same time. We were given unbreakable friendship (CangCang/Zhong Lin), conflicted brotherhood (Don't you just loved Qian Qing character?!), two pitiful princesses ( but certainly pitiful in different ways), love story cut short for both the emperor and his most loyal soldier, evil queen buried alive, a trapped turned evil queen who lost her son, and ultimately a loyal, responsible, smart, badass , resilient and tragic emperor. My favorite arc was Mo Er's story, and the saddest part was the miscarriage medicine scene when I cried my eyes out for Xiao Huan. Phoenix Terrace being the scenario for most of the story turning points was a detail worth to pay attention to, along with the great acting with no filters. This drama is for the strongest hearts. I agree the screenplay has some problems, but wouldn't give it less than 8-8,5/10.

First GL I can watch until the ending.
Han Feng in disguise was just....wow!!
