Title The Match
Lee Byung Hun and Yoo Ah In are exceptional actors. I got the sense of a cold but yet emotional relation between teacher and student, differently from other over dramatic movies with similar stories. It was all about Go, and how "There is no definite answer in Go". It is also very well filmed/edited and directed, we could appreciate both the game and the players thoughts and feelings. It is a nice movie.

I find it so impactful when he says with his resentful heart: "I'm not a good person. I wanted to destroy the…
A hero, but a very imperfect one ;) I think he had more faith in Ji Tan Yin than himself. But yes, I agree she was a badass goddess, kind and smart!!

Surprisingly good. I was so tired of childish XianXia with all the overly dramatic romance...After the first episodes you can note this is a mature drama and the acting is on point from leads to supporting actors. Dialogues are also interesting, and sometimes very funny, and the focus on character development makes all the difference. ML is not a hero, he is resentful and it was hard for me to see his real intentions until the very end!Last, I loved the inclusion of engineering craftsmanship as a goddess power/ability.

I like him too. How about his performance in The Shadow ?
I read some criticism here in MDL, but for me his performance was outstanding. Specially the scenes when he is locked and revealed his past relation with Mr.Shen. I don't remember of any actor with his age doing challenging scenes like that.

I like Ryan Ren, he was the best in Fateful Love. I'm curious for his future works and wish more main leads for him.

Absolutely worth watching, coherent from beginning to end, and above all a beautiful story about sisterhood. All actors did it gracefully, from main leads to support roles, making you crave for the next episode. I loved it!

10 episodes and characters are very well written so far. I hope it stays like this.

It is a good drama (8.5/10 for me), but I think screenwriters didn't adapt yet to the 40 episodes limit. Sometimes there are so many characters that it is hard to understand their role in the story and the potentially interesting ones get lost in the middle of all things going on. The same applies when they add a conflict between two countries to an already complicated plot. I wish Royal Princess had more depth, she is not very convincing, and ChuChu, Du Er, Prince Qi and some others deserved a better character development. The war with Nanwu, as well as Nanwu people and the saintess story, were all left to our imagination...

Finally took some time to watch this. The bloodiest reverse harem I have ever seem. I understand that this drama is possibly about Chu Qiao / Jing Xiao Liu / Xing Er / A' Chu journey, but I didn't understand why she became so dumb in the Yanbei arc. Also missed the spy/assasin plot that made me hooked in the first part. In any case, I enjoyed this drama , mostly because of Xing Er- Yuwen Yue interactions. I miss this kind of bloody drama, portraying evil conspiracies, with amazing fighting scenes and subtle love story nowadays.

Always happy to watch whatever Tan Jian Ci does :)

Watched until ep.7, does it get better? I am thinking of putting it on hold as it is much of the same, zero nuanced kind of Wuxia screenplay. I like the leads, although Weng Wei needs to mature a little more his expressions ;)

Title Back for You
This is such a creative and fresh drama!! I loved the stories, the screenplay is flawless (perfect loop!!) and the cinematography, golden-hour lighting, camera move and bold/complementary colors, gives it a whimsical charm inviting us, the audience, into the HQ world. Good choice of actors, including the supporting ones that worked hard in each episode/story, and balance between thriller, fantasy and romance, with a doses of darkness, underscores the power of subtle visual cues in storytelling. Don't mind the scores, Back For You is such a vibe that you won't regret watching it!!!
