Short and cute series. They admit being a fan of each other. Jiwoo could hug and kiss the real Gangjae now, but he still redecorates his room with photos and the cardboard stand of Gangjae. Plus he got an autographed soccer ball.
Captain Ter Young and former idol Sun Bin flirt until they get back to Sun Bin's place. Too bad we won't get to see more of them.
I'm happy that I get to see this series ended happily.
Ever 9 was sent as a housekeeper while Yi Ping recovered from injury. But later Ever 9 had a feature added to correct Yi Ping's anti-social disorder. Basically, Ever 9 was a housekeeper and a therapist.
Here, we have Ever 4 sent as Bu Shi's body guard who also monitors his studies.
I know not everyone likes relationships between humans and androids. But for fiction fans like myself enjoy such stories, especially when it's between a human male and a male android.
π€ It's wishful thinking, but I hope for sequels of the same universe introducing different AI series sent to clients to do different kinds of tasks.
Jaemin is like everyone says. He's a narcissistic manipulator who knows Da On likes him. He kept a tight lease on Da On's family who relies on him to bail them out financially. He pays off those who would do what he bids them. He manipulated and blackmailed Soohyeon into a fake relationship contract and had him voluntarily move abroad. I believe Jaemin is high on the dominant power of keeping everyone at bay to his liking.
I like Soohyeon when he's not aggressive. I love that he wanted to protect Da On. Too bad that Jaemin had a hold on him and in a way is not brave enough to let his father know that he likes Da On, a boy. Thus he's hesitant in confessing to Da On. When he could, Jaemin got ahead of him saying to Da On that Soohyeon and him were dating.
Da On is just like what Jaemin said about him. Da On is easily swayed by those who are nice to him, meaning himself and Soohyeon. Jaemin has been out of touch with Da On since the morning he rejected Da On. So Jaemin doesn't know yet that he has a new rival. That would be the new Assistant Manager Ju. While Jaemin has not been present, Da On is slowly leaning toward Sung Hyeon. Unfortunately, Sung Hyeon found out he couldn't compete with Da On's long time crush. I hope Sung Hyeon would back down so easily just because Da On hadn't replied to his confession and was still hung on to his crush.
Personally, I am torn in choosing between Soohyeon and Sung Hyeon. I think Sooheyon's father won't allow him with Da On, a guy. Green flag Sung Hyeon has a better chance with grandma backing him up.
I'm invested and looking forward to see how this drama unfolds.
It all seems toxic and chaotic at this point up to episode 3. However, Jae Min and Soo Hyeon's secret contract and flashbacks are revealing more and more of Da On's history with his two seniors.
I'm not a fan of violent behavior in the main character. I hope to know more about how Soo Hyeon got to that point when he was nicer back in high school.
I'm still curious what Jae Min's intention would be since he agreed with the contract to fake date Soo Hyeon. For years he stayed in contact with Da On. As a man with high education, he couldn't be dense and oblivious of Da On's feelings for him. So what's his reason to reject Da On? Maybe Jae Min is conceited, high on others who vie for his attention. Female students are constantly seeking him before or after lectures.
For now,π€I could only wait and hope that Da On would consider green flag assistant Ju 's confession.
On a side note, did anyone recognize Jae Min's place was the same place filmed in "Gangster Like Me Got a Boyfriend"?
I won't recommend this series to those that have high expectations on the quality of the production. I personally enjoy passing my time watching Impression of Youth when it is the only bl series to watch on Tuesday. The level of the bl production is not what I had expected from Taiwan. However, I do appreciate the time and effort put into creating a series representing the happy and healthy LGBTQ community in that part of the world. I will continue to support and am looking forward to more work coming out of Taiwan.
Maybe it's the distinct round owl eye frame on Thor's separate Ten from Oye in Wandee, nerd from jock looks. Both looks are hot and handsome. I just can't believe how versatile Thor could be playing both roles so well.
Achi should have pulled Phu away from that vixen as soon as he figured her out. At least Cir stared him down. I want to see Tee bury him next.
I'm glad Jin figured out Achi's scheme and on alert. He called Cir for backup. I was hoping he would call in Wim as well, but he and Wim had a fall out.
Episode 19 and we worked out Wine's introverted psychology. We'll continue to see curious glances from Jay and…
I like to thank GMMTV for the guest appearance, Louis. I enjoyed the Phuri and Electric Boy comedic duo. Phuri fluent in English is accustomed to the Western manner of shaking hands instead of wai and "sawatdee". Him greeting Wine was too funny. But I love the cute interaction between Fai's classmate and the introvert Wine.
Episode 19 and we worked out Wine's introverted psychology. We'll continue to see curious glances from Jay and Ben for a while. In the mean time, we'll watch Arm and Gun cheerfully endorse the FahGun ship to sail. I think after that kiss scene between Faifa and Gun, they could chuck that crash course note book and focus more on making notes of their own.
I believe it's time to fix Faifa's social issue. Faifa needs to be aware of his social interaction with others that have affected Wine's discontent with Fa's undivided attention.
Wtf does he mean "pocket dial"!? Idk who to like or who to hate. However, seeing everyone's situation is different but valid. Right now I could only sympathize with BaaBin the most.
Episode 4 will stay with me for a long time this 2025. BaaBin's heart-wrenching sorrowful confession haunts me.
I am not going to project the end game. I'll just go along with the tumultuous emotional ride as each unpredictable episode rolls out.
How sad that both Du Zhi and Wan Zhang have brothers who are suffering from illness I am hoping at least one good outcome between the two. At least for Ironman if he could successfully receive a healthy heart transplant from Ying Xiu who is dying of liver cancer. That's just my wishful thinking.
That aside, I enjoy the drama in the two love triangle stories. The "bros before hoes" code of the second couple with the fiance. And there's Wan Zhang battling Hui Yu over Du Zhi. π
I love both couples. It was fun seeing Gang Jae all jealous of Ji U's sudden closeness with his nemesis. At the same time, it was cute watching Captain Tae Young stuffed Sun Bin a mouthful of protein while Sun Bin admired how well Tae Young was eating. Episode 7 is full of fluff.
I feel like Seonghyung is literally the only non toxic person in Daonβs life right now π But sadly getting…
Jae Min rejected Da On after the back hug. I think Da On could move on since knowing Jae Min does not see him as a love interest. I know it sucked that the night before Jae Min gave Da On false hope by leaning into him.
K-bl never disappoint. All that angst built up is hopefully balanced by the comfort and support of the newcomer. Seong Hyung.
Since I've not seen/read the original work and if it's up to me, I think Da On should lean toward Seong Hyung. Especially now that he knows Jae Min does not see him as a love interest.
Seeing that Da On was tough on his dad recognizing the bad habit of gamblers, he should see Su Hyeon's bad habit of being a user and abuser. Regardless whether there was a misunderstanding in the past that resulted this toxic relationship between the three of them, I would quickly move on and won't let unnecessary drama drag on. Honestly, it's just my wishful thinking. Of course like Da On's dad who would still cling on, it would be hard to rid himself of Jae Min and Su Hyeon entirely.
I'm praying that Seong Hyung could see as a newcomer or as an outsider and would be patient in pulling Da On out of the sink-hole that's been sucking on his mental and physical health. π€
In the end, they're happy. Like always, time apart allows them to realize what they've missed and who mattered to them most. Also the time apart allows them to mature. I was not worried because the end game was predictable. I am happy for the cute story.
On the side, I like how Taemin consistently hits on Sori and nailed her in the end. The two of them work well together nagging and supporting Woohyun. Taemin and Sori are so cute together.
Overall, I like this adaptation regardless of not having read/seen the original work. I don't even have any problem with the teacher. I thought he was a good mentor. He did not fail to teach and guide his students properly. The inappropriate petting and patting to show encouragement deem him a pedophile which enrages viewers. Although it was uncomfortable to watch, he had no ill intent toward Woohyun. Therefore for me, his character plays an important role in developing Woohyun's growth with Do Ha.
Those who dislike Mr. Nam probably won't like the Japanese bl adaptation "Sahara Sensei to Toki-kun" either. It so happens to be one of my favorable J-bl.
Though Da On has bad timing and fails to confess for the past 11 years, I have a feeling that sunbae Jae Min may have known about Da On crushing on him. After all, it was Jae Min who approached Da On when they first met. I'm just curious why he agreed to date Su Hyeon back then. Was it because they were of different stature? I think I'll need a roll of tissues next time whenever a flashback of the past comes on. π’𧻠π€§

This bl series is so uniquely good.
