Sadly, Bai Lu is still under Yu Zheng's co. though I think Huanyu is promoting her more as its biggest female star after the success of her last 2 dramas with RJL.
Also, her being on the variety show Keep Running increased her recognition and popularity. Thanks to her, I'm enjoying the show more and look forward to the next episodes.
There are some fans who are still not over Bai Lu-Xu Kai cp, but they need to face reality: it was nice while it lasted, but that ship has long sailed so they need to move on.
That being said, would be great if she gets a chance to work with Bai Jingting, Yang Yang, Li Xian, Wang Yibo and Cheng Yi.
In the meantime, I'm enjoying her current drama Ordinary Greatness, and can't wait for TTEOTM and NARM to air.

The disappointing thing is that I'm not as excited about this project as I was about WRTW and LLTG. It's great that ZLS is busy and has many projects coming her way (much deserved), but I wish she would be a bit more selective with her roles and choose more diverse & quality scripts that would continue to challenge her and help her to become an even better actress. 😑
Let's just hope Hidden Love won't turn out to be a waste of her time and talent. After all, she has wanted to do a school drama for a while now and this drama would fulfill her wish.

If Lin Yi is confirmed as the ML, then let's hope for the best. I agree that he needs to work on his facial expressions as well as his aura.
Imo, he and his characters have been one-dimensional from watching a few of his dramas so he really needs to improve on that.
I'm hopeful he can improve since he is talented enough to do so. Fingers crossed 🤞

Same here. Wuxia, Xianxia and mystery/thriller genres are more my thing but started this drama bc of ZRY and BL, and really enjoying it so far.
I also started to take notice of XKC here as I was never interested in his previous works. Before this, the only drama of his that I watched was A Female Student Arrives at the Imperial College with ZLS, and that drama wasn't bad but wasn't that great either. I only watched it bc of ZLS. I may now check out some of his previous dramas thanks to OG. 🙂

Hope they expand their ML options than just narrow it down to those two. They're only 1-2 years older than ZLS and look like the same age as her, so unless they do miracle makeup/cg work or change the age gap from 7 years older to 2-3 years, dunno how both LY or CZY would pull off playing a significantly older character.
Personally Li Xian or even Miles Wei would be a better fit... I think Wang Anyu should also be considered - he may be the same age as Lusi, but looks much older than his age.
Why do I feel like this drama is being rushed into production instead of making sure it'll be a quality drama? 🤔

This slice of life drama may not be everyone's cup of tea, but hope people would rate it objectively after ACTUALLY WATCHING each episode. If people are rating it low bc they dislike certain actors/actresses and not based on content/quality, then they're doing this drama serious injustice.
Some of the cases may be a bit over the top and frustrating, but they still got me interested to see how they would pan out.
The obvious upside is the main & supporting cast. Zhang Ruo Yun never fails to impress me with his wonderful ability to draw the viewers to him. And Xu Kai Cheng has also portrayed his character very well up to this point. 👏🙂

Zhang Ruo Yun is a riot. He's such a versatile actor, just like Bai Lu. Really love his character and performance in OG. I've taken interest in ZRY since I first saw him in Medical Examiner Dr. Qin with Li Xian.

I'm watching Ordinary Greatness with Zhang Ruo Yun and Bai Lu. I don’t usually watch that type of drama but only started bc of Bai Lu who is my favorite actress along with ZLS. And Xu Kai Cheng is also in it. 🙂
