I'm not really a fan of Dilraba either but she is very pretty. Personally though, I think Bai Lu looks better in period costumes than Dilraba does. It may or may not be the fault of the stylists/designers, but I have yet to see DRaba in a period costume that would make me think otherwise. π

I love Bai Lu too. She's so talented & likeable. Allen Ren succeeded in contrasting the two ZSCs from one another bc his ZSC in FaE is not supposed to be handsome. Rather, he's supposed to be ordinary looking & very tall yet has a commanding presence about him according to the novel. Before FaE even aired, there were many people who didn't believe Allen was suited for the role of modern ZSC bc he's very good looking, but I'm glad that Allen kinda disproved that physical aspect by looking convincingly dorky and awkward in FaE. Shows how good of an actor he is. ππ

Hmm, I think he did but those scenes and more intimate ones may or may not be cut. We can only wait and see. π€πΆ Imo the producers&editors would be wise to keep some (if not all) of the kiss/intimate scenes that were sort of previewed in a form of leaked photos from various sites (including the photo displayed here of Chen-Shi kissing in the car) if they don't want to disappoint the many fans/audiences who have (im)patiently waited for this drama to air, especially after watching OaO. π¬
Side note: there was a pic of ZSC/Allen and Shiyi/BaiLu cuddled together in a bathtub discovered by some netizens. ZSC was only wearing what looked like black boxer briefs. Yes Allen was actually shirtless and in a bathtub!! *swoon* The director supposedly demanded that pic be immediately removed from whatever site it was posted. I doubt we'll be seeing that scene in FaE, but we can hope right? π

I liked ZYX in Intense Love but not so much in Stand by Me. She seems better suited for modern dramas than historical or wuxia. I'm looking forward to watching her (with Cheng Yi again) in South Wind Knows My Mood after watching the trailer. π
