I read somewhere on YT about YLX fans and BL fans at war with each other bc supposedly some BL fans told her agency not to have BL collab with LYX and put LYX down. So his fans responded by attacking BL. saying how she has poor acting skills and is ugly, even trying to dig up some "dark" history(?).... Pretty disgusting and pathetic. These toxic fans are only hurting the reputation and mental well-being of their stars. :(

She/He didn't say that (s)he despised them, but maybe "tired of seeing" Lusi with those actors isn't the best choice of words, and they're not really new to the industry either. Ryan Ding has gotten much more popular (esp. with the younger viewers/fans) after his latest drama Moonlight with Esther Yu, and two of his dramas last year were very successful. Li Hongyi may not be as popular as I thought he would be, but I really loved him with Lusi in LBTI, and he is still young & handsome with great potential, so I still have high hopes for him. I'm so looking forward to seeing Lusi in action (& romance) with YY in this drama, and hope it will do for her like what The Untamed did for Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan.
honestly i dont mind no kissing policies and all except in this drama. This is one of the most romantic novels…

No offense to Allen, I really like him as an actor, but I don’t get why he gets selected or even chooses to be in serious romance dramas if there are limits & restrictions to what he can do romantically with the character(s). His previous rom-com drama Miss Crow with Mr. Lizard would've been a whole lot better if there were actual kiss scenes. What the fans of the original novel loved about it was the anticipated attraction and several sensual, physical interactions between Shi Yi and Zhousheng Chen (esp. kissing). I'm afraid the drama version will be severely watered down with VERY LIMITED kiss scenes IF ANY, bc of Allen Ren's supposed "No Kissing" clause, and I for one wouldn't accept a peck on the cheek as an actual kiss in a drama like this. I really hope this drama will do the novel some justice, and won't disappoint us fans/viewers by changing the story too much. Ideally, I would've preferred unmarried/unattached actor (e.g. Garvin Jin, Miles Wei or Xin Yun Lai to name a few) for the role of ZSC. Ok, maybe even Xu Kai could've been a better pick than Allen bc of his incredible chemistry with LuLu. but what's done is done, and hope the 2-part dramas will be great.

Just bc he's shooting with Reba doesn't make it impossible to be in this project since it hasn't even started yet. Regardless, I don't think he would be selected even if he didn't have much going on based on the vague ML character description.

The ending seemed a bit incomplete to me (budgetary constraints maybe?), but overall, I thoroughly enjoyed The Imperial Coroner and recommend it to anyone who enjoyed watching forensics dramas like CSI and Medical Examiner Dr. Qin. ??

Hmm I don’t know what is really believable either, but I heard good things about ZLY, like how she helped some talented yet underrated actors (like Mao Zijun and others) get projects. It is a bit disappointing to hear about the negative incidents involving her, but I still like ZLY for her talent and hard work.
