Couldn't handle the immature bickering in first 5 episodes, but it really got better after.
They definitely should have finished the drama around Ep30, after the war, and leave like one episode or two to take down final final antagonist. Instead we have a rushed, stupid, unnecessary court politics thing for the last 10 episodes...... which I'm fast-forwarding through btw. The main leads have been through enough already, no need to try to tug audience's heartstrings even more.
Really reminds me of Who Rules the World, where the main leads really shone as via their personalities and skills but so much time was spent on court politics :(
New Life Begins and Are you the one? have some palace politics but they are not a big part of the plot. I highly…
Yeah, A Dream of Splendor (2022) features common women trying to make a living but towards the end there's palace stuff ugh
I haven't watched these but they have common folk, hopefully there's no palace stuff - Romance on the Farm (2023) - Marvelous Women (2021) - The Little Nyonya (2020)
This was a good show, an absolute emotional rollercoaster ride. However, I wished there was more character development…
yeah them trying to incorporate court politics was just doing too much at that point, either make a different season with it or something. Let the FL finish strong with her business and the ML winning the war , and the newly crowned king.
I have a feeling iQIYI might release this drama within the next few weeks to salvage what has been a pretty lackluster…
Huge projects this year that just didn't live up to the hype sadly... Legend of Shen Li, Dashing Youth, The Princess Royal.... i guess The Double & Joy of Life Season 2 were alright but still :(
watching ep 3. FL's attitudes make me angry. This girl how idiot
it's really inconsistent how they've written her character -- sometimes she's smart, sometimes she makes stupid decisions e.g. ep23 when she decides to go back right into the arms of her enemies
XianYu is very likely to be released in March.. Youku is rushing to release their dramas that have received licence…
ooh it would be interesting to see if the fewer episodes will attract more international audiences, because i've always heard people complaining about how stretched out cdramas can get sometimes.
I remember in Destined, it took too many episodes for the leads to consummate even though they're married for…
yeah, I feel like the character development of the male lead in Destined also dragged on for too long honestly. Wished chinese drama crews would not sacrifice quality/pacing for more money (more episodes)
I noticed all the running dramas dumped their episodes real fast. NEXT! The Story of Pearl Girl (2024)
kill me love me was a surprise. I think the team saw how everyone wished for it to be a happy ending like the novel, then decided to get us out of our delusions lol
Ci Sha. His character was a Marquis (Lu Jiaxue ιεε¦, "Lu Houjue" ιδΎ―η΅)The Duke was Yining's bloodline…
omg I feel bad cuz Ci Sha really gave it his all but i am now so annoyed whenever i see him ππ gotta watch another show where he's not an obsessed antagonist
