WARNING: POTENTIAL SPOILER?So in Red Moon Pact, the ML told us how the FL of Love Pavillion died...Reference:…
might have been to do with the leads' fanbases in Red Moon Pact? So they started with the 'most popular' cast? (Though all 3 pairs of leads in the series for me seem to be on equal popularity)
i LOVE Liu Shi Shi though so it's so sad to know this is gonna be a tragic story - I'll probably just watch short highlight clips of this one because i hate sad endings HAHA
Same thing with Cheng Yi - love watching him act, but he's typecasted for angsty roles so I'm worried about his Fox Spirit one too XD
people who knows chineese please translate the previews of ep31-33 (You can see previews on tenecet tv link given…
30 : fan xian is heavily injured. They're trying to find someone who trains Qi / internal energy the same way to help Fan Xian (at the expense of that person) so the king lies, saying there's no one like that. Fan Xian also says that his lungs might be poisoned and he needs surgery, that's why camera pans to Ruoruo.
31: king asking Fan Xian why he chose to save third prince instead of the king during the attack. Also seems like this episode is when everyone finds out Ye QingMei is his mom and the princess goes crazy lol. Even Empress wants to kill him now.
32: Wan Er is asking him why he told her the truth and wished he kept lying to her about something. He might have told her the truth of Lin Gong's death. Ruoruo tells him she'll protect him in the absence of Wu Zhu
33: Fan Xian goes south to Jiangnan but obviously people are trying to stop him. The Ming family in charge of the area meet 2nd Prince and looks like he's got some dirt on them to make them work with him
Yeah, I feel like a student that after long confusion suddenly got understanding of the picture 😅 They not…
also another weird thing the director did was show Yang Wan Li about to reply FX at his house (when FX asked what they were doing there) but that Hong guy cut him off. Not sure if this is serious hinting at something - am overthinking everything now, which the director must be wanting the audience to do HAHA.
ohhh you meant the Beiqi princess - sorry thought you were talking about the scheming eldest princess , the antagonist in Season 1, haha.
New Life Begins (2022) maybe. I haven't watched The Moon Brightens for you (2020) or Truth or Dare (2021), but they seem to lean more towards lighthearted/ comedy genre if that's what you're looking for
he's like Hua Zhi's grandfather in Blossoms in Adversity
i agree with the comment about Blossoms in adversity! Loved how the leads actually communicate as well, haha. I'm so sick of miscommunication tropes XD
Funnily enough, I also enjoy chinese costume dramas more but modern day korean ones! I think it's cuz Chinese costume dramas do mix in other genres e.g. action / fantasy so it's not just super heavy politics all the time. But modern day korean dramas have the advantage of being shorter, less episodes, so it has less risk of being dragged out
now we know how much worse it could have been for Hua Zhi's grandfather(he was also a censor)- that man got off…
are you talking about Blossoms in Adversity? I would say it was a heavy punishment - he got his entire family dragged into it, and it was supposed to be a lifetime of hard labour + shame. The emperor just didnt expect Hua Zhi + the fam to be so resilient and bounce back
yeah, they might prefer action stuff rather than court politics. Usually i also prefer action packed wuxia but i find this season not bad + I enjoyed Story of kunning palace. As long as it isnt too complicated XD
Well, agreed to you friend...Btw, if you need help in picking those absolutely extraordinary Chinese drama, people…
Hm since you've probably watched all the big ones, have you tried Maiden Holmes (2020)? It's definitely more romance-heavy than most coroner/ crime solving shows but I enjoyed it as a lighter watch. A decent mini-drama is A Familiar Stranger (2022).
Legend of Shen Li (2024) and Love Me, Love My Voice (2023) have a much slower pace so some people find them boring, but I enjoyed them as healing shows. Super mature relationships - they actually communicate haha.
I'm not sure if you've outgrown youth dramas but there's Lovely Us (2020) and Forever Love (2020).
I haven't watched these ones but reviews seem to be good - Falling into You (2022) , Angels Fall Sometimes (2024)
