So many people on MDL and across social media are complaining about Hua Yong’s character in ABO Desire. Some…
So far Hau Yong has changed himself to be what Sheng Shao You wants. Which in the grand scheme of things isn’t too bad. Now the fake kidnapping plot was extreme and messed up, but how is this in essence (lol not in substance) any different from all the shows were the main character gets a make over and starts acting different? The enjoyment comes when they learn to love themselves for who they are and lean into their nerdiness or unique character trait. It’s just that Hau Yong appears very strong so we don’t get to see that vulnerability. 8 episodes is just the half way mark, there is still some character development to go!
Honestly I don’t know anymore, when the truth gets revealed, what is Sheng Shao Yuo going to say to Shen Wenlan? I know Wenlan took part in the deception but he was coerced by Hua Yong 😭. And that brother who is complaining, what have you done with the money you got from Mr Sheng? What’s with all of this complaining while you do nothing? He is so disingenuous. I am surprised Shao You allows him to go see his father at the hospital
I haven’t gotten there yet, but I am wondering why didn’t Mr. Zhong raise both boys? Why did he give one away…
His family ran a package delivery agency. In addition to his adoptive mother and father, he also had 2 brothers ( I am not sure if brother number 1 was still alive when he ran away from home). The agency also had guards that ensured that the goods were safely delivered to their destinations. In order to be taken in by Miao Jie, he poisoned them all (I am assuming he poisoned their water or food) and then set the agency on fire to hide his identity as the 2nd son and went on to live as the 3rd (or vice versa I can’t remember).
Side note, is it a valid crash out because they bludgeoned his puppy to death and then turned it into dog stew? That’s for Jon Wick to decide
I think even as Yesha he liked bonding with them. Those are people linked to his beloved brother. The only reason…
True, those remaining in Haiya have now at least been reconnected with the rest of the country and have received an apology from the emperor (whether that’s enough is for them to decide).

Yes, at one point I suspected that Coroner Feng was Bei Kun, even the way he was raised would have made sense. Not taught the art of poison directly but rather medicine so as to not repeat his father’s mistakes. I guess they made TS Yesha instead of a regular orphan to stop the cycle of revenge because if his parents had been killed by the order of the prince and ministers then some of his actions would have been “justified”.

Do directors ever do post production interviews? I want to know why General Tong was given Bei Kun because Bei Hai had entrusted them to Zhong. They should have sent him to an orphanage if Zhong could not afford to care for 2 adopted sons. Or even General Hou since he didn’t have any sons, it would have been a better fit than General Tong because his concubine would not have mistreated the kid. If General Tong did want Bei Kun then he should have given him a different surname to assuage his wife’s anger and doubt (who I assume wrongly believed that he was the product of General Tong’s affair and was going to challenge her sons inheritance of the dart bureau). Anyway this is all premised on the belief that Bei Kun was indeed abused when he was in General Tong’s household.

Yeah, either he is an unreliable narrator or they were sadists who hid their true nature from the community by giving out food and stuff. The only memory we see with his father is when he is acting as an enforcer and watching him being whipped. Bei Kun doesn’t recall any warm moments at all in his home about his father, contrast that with XBM and even Zhuge Kong Yun’s father when they talk/think about constable Zhong. So what was General Tong doing while all of this was happening, that is the big mystery that needs to be solved for me 😅
Bei Hai was not responsible for the Haiya massacre. He was not the one issued an edict to kill innocent people.…
The secret would have eventually come out 😢 unless he and XBM went on the run for the rest of their lives. And I dont think ZXM would have forgiven him

Miao Jie got his successor and eventual revenge by manipulating Bei Kun’s desire for acceptance and recognition. Sadly by the time he met XBM it was already too late to turn back
You're right. In the end, YeSha is the definition of "made to become a villain, and not born to be a villain".…
Miao Jie is the catalyst. I think Bei Kun had been thinking about getting his revenge on his adoptive mother and brother but he had not actually completely cut ties with his adoptive father yet and so had not done it. Miao Jie came and told him that his adoptive father was the reason for his suffering (ie he was part of the army that killed his family), which completely sent him over the edge. As for Bei Ming, I really don’t know, he probably would have just left home once he was an adult and not exact any revenge on them but if he had encountered Miao Jie as a child living in that abusive residence, I am not sure if he would have still stayed good. Look at how Miao Jie even made him doubt his adoptive father (Mr Zhong) while on the boat, Miao Jie is a master manipulator.

Yeah, it seems Bei Kun’s adoptive father just came back home one day with a son and did not explain anything to his wife. Who then ended up abusing the boy while the father just stood by and did nothing. It not like he was being mistreated in secret, even the other people in the residence (the darts guards) could see his living conditions and kept him alive by throwing him food. Instead he even punished Bei Kun when he retaliated for his mistreatment meanwhile also giving soup kitchens to his community. The duality of this man cannot be justified unless it is a revenge plot

True! Miao Jie validated what he had suspected all along (that the world had to burn) and then gave him a new purpose, an agent of justice (the spark to burn everything down). But a perverted form of justice that sacrificed innocent people for the “greater good”.

Bei Kun was angry at the people who mistreated and looked down on him in the Tong residence. Miao Jie then found him and gave him a purpose and identity. His plot was never to get revenge for Haiya because if it was he could have killed the people who caused the massacre and be done with it. His beef was with his adoptive mother and brother, to show them that he could be something, that he could be a god/emperor. When the last minister died his revenge plot was complete, everything else after that was just a selfish project
That twist had me smiling big because I was pissed for a few episodes at the beginning because of the poisoning.…
Sadly the people who dropped it because of the poisoning will never get to feel the satisfaction of it all tying together😭😭😭 It also makes sense as to why there was so much focus on it (the poison) at the beginning and middle of the show only for it to vanish near the end as if it never existed
