She is interested in him but her lack in engineering made her have inferior feeling. She only expressed her emotion and frustation only to Min-Jae.

(1). the articles is an old articles, its not related to the old annoying patient that she just operated.
(2). her coworker found old article that used the same method as her. The operation is successfull, but best guess the patient died because of something else. It just stated as "unknown cause", probably just to mislead us, to raise distrust among her coworker to her.
(3). She said to hospital director that he failed can be many interpreations. Considering he just knew her, its not possible she is referring to the article above. I doubt what she mention by he is failed, probably just harsh critics to fellow doctor or just her counter attack.
