The emperor and Consort Yue and Empress Xuan won this one for me. They were not in here much but every time the emperor and his harem appeared they were so fun. The lead were cute but that was about it for me. But I have to say Leo did deliver some extremely fine acting in those emotional scene. A lot of people batch the mom, but I actually understood where she was coming from. I feel like lots of us were judging all these women decisions by the standard of the world we live in today, rather than by understanding the time in which this woman live in. And also everyone was batching HBY for leaving CSS but think about it would any of us do anything differently he had been carrying his hatred for 22 yrs and when his aunt died he truly did become the last of the Huo. Would you suddenly put down your hatred just for a woman that you met months ago. And just like he said would you let her family go through the same thing yours did, for a revenge that you know you may not even achieve. So I actually didn’t blame him. On the contrary I felt that the character that was unreasonable was actually CSS. But I also could see things through her lenses, she is after all a 15 yrs old with some deep insecurities, and she did give him plenty of occasion to tell her who he was. The drama was a little long winded and slow pace, but I did have a great laugh here and there.

Same same I cried too. That and the episode with Wushuang recounting of his and his aunt coming to the capital.

I’m pretty sure they where separated for 8 years, because if you look at the numbers of days at the beginning of the episodes when it says they where separated it add up to 8 yrs.

I mean the end of Triage did hint at a second season.

I see your point. I was not really trying to defend them. I always thought the all thing will blow in their faces eventually. I believe my bias is probably that I have a fundamental dislike of SYZ characterization, I really hate that she looks down on people just because she is talented. I found a little too conceited for my taste and don’t even get me started on her taste for men. I mean even her falling for QF is so backwards because if we went by her logic even Sanniang should be in love with him. I’m just saying that whatever about to happen to her at this point is totally on her.
