Very good series. Watched all episodes from beginning to end. No fast forwarding or skipping. Great actors, production, music, and direction.
Only caveat was the ending. Series would have been much better without the last 10 minutes.

Overall, the production and acting were so-so. It felt like a mix of "Man in Black" with a Chinese Costume Drama. Some parts were confusing and rushed while others dragged.

The second season and some online info mention a spinoff episode of season 1 where the FL dies. Where's this episode available?

Dropped after quarter way through as it bored me. Dialogue-driven drama with quirky characters but too dry for…
Yep. Described what I thought quite well. I ended up skipping episodes and scenes. Pity, actors were good but script wasn't there.

The series on YouTube have more than 36 episodes. They numbers the last one as 36-A, 36-B and 36-C. Are they alternate endings?

I would had given this series a higher score if not for some super cheesy scenes and the final, which was bad. That "street rescue" with all those super-armed troops that simply watched the "cavalry rescue" without doing anything made me cringe.

As for the ending, their plan was to live leisurely forever? Wasn't the king supposed to marry and have a heir?

Cool series that reminds of "The Edge of Tomorrow" with Tom Cruise. Several twists that make the plot interesting until the end.
Good actors, story and production. I recommend it for the audience who likes sci-fi/time travel.

The acting and the food preparation scenes were what kept my going on this one. The story in general was too much "sugarcoated" (pun intended) and the final was super rushed, as if the production stepped in and told everyone "time to wrap this up!". Could have been better paced with less dragging scenes and less rushed ones. The photography of the food cooking was mouthwatering. :-)

Just finished this one. Great story, acting, direction and production. I am not thrilled by western zombie movies but, for some reason, the Korean ones make me enjoy them.
Many young actors with promising careers in this series. Kudos!
