Maybe he has a soft spot for her? I enjoy the political and cooking scenes but other than that i just casually…
a soft spot would be a plausable explanation in this case. i like to engage with the romance more (not a huge fan of politics lol). still, i find the basis of this relationship not strong enough or at least the shift from strangers to romantically intertwined a bit lacking. on a good note, the romance is developing quickly as they jumped straight to a kiss in ep4. I hope the relationship strengthens over time. i need more on his emotional motives (she reminds him of his mom) maybe through more internal monologue scenes idk lol. because sometimes i am getting psycho vibes rather than tyrant😅. hopefully following episodes will hit better
just finished the 4 episodes. i can see many ppl getting hooked to this, yet for some reason it felt a bit underwhelming to me. I liked the chemistry but it felt a little bit unreasonable for a tyrant to be that forgiving to her rudeness. but I guess it s all fun and giggles. it is entertaining nevertheless. maybe I am still under the influence of twelve letters
CRAZY THEORY but what if the king recognised her the first time they met? it's obvious now that he wrote the mangunrok,…
i think he didn't name the book mangunrok yet when he met her, so he wouldn't know the book she was talking about even when she mentioned the name. I guess he is just amused while speculating she is really from the future as she s making new dishes in ways unheard of in their time 😅
that what i was thinking. and then there are ppl here speculating that he is not hai tang s biological kid . so…
yes, i think we needed more at least two more episodes to witness their happy moment and get answers for our questions. yet shen cheng not vanishing is enough for me to go on with my day not compeletely heartbroken
i have just finshed this drama. the acting is peak especially the actress in the first episodes . she did a great job and the actor too. Yet she caught my eye more as i watched WDBTD right before this , so i can compare both performances. The wide spectrum this actress showed in her acting is rather impressive, to say the least . concerning the story, it is filled with tragedy, misery, unjustice, and melancholy. this drama broke my heart in ways i didnt knew possible. so whether you like a good cry or your are drawn to suffering this is for you. the cinematography is alluring, and the color grading seems on point to me . Ranging from hot orangish yellowish hues scenes to mute blue ones with that nostalgic atmosphere in the 1991 times.
Random but i love the FL real voice. She has a cute face, but an attractive, kinda big voice for a female actress.…
agree, i loved her voice a lot. esp that i have just watched when destiny brings the demon where there was voice over. i didnt expect her voice to be on the lower end . it gave the character so much richness
