I wonder when Pop would really have his first lead role where he is really the main character and the plot/production is interesting. Even his upcoming projects are looking like it is not bound to be hits. I personally think he’s a good actor and can actually generate chemistry with his female partners. I hope Nychaa and him can reunite in a new lakorn someday. Though he prolly can’t beat her and Alek’s chemistry, I would say their chemistry was still great in Game Prattana.
Why can some weird users rate this low already when it’s not even done with it’s post-production editing? Some people can really be jokesters nowadays! Smh.
Best actor in this mini was probably the child actress. Lol. The FL is quite pretty though! I wonder if anyone knows who the actress is? She kinda looks like Guan Xiao Tong in some angle.
So many great and talented actors! My picks are : Kim Won Hae, Oh Jung Se, Song Kang Ho, Sung Dong Il, Lee Seo Jin, Kim Nam Gil, Nam Goong Min, Shin Ha Kyun, Gong Yoo, Lee Sung Min, Kim Byung Chul, Han Seok Kyu, Choi Min Soo to name a few. Definitely my top pick is Mr. Kim Won Hae though!
And I know Lee Joon Gi and Lee Dong Wook are already 40 but I don’t consider them ahjussis yet! Haha (and no, I don’t do those oppa stuff though there’s nothing wrong calling them that; anyway, their vibes is still not yet ahjussi level imo haha). Lee Jin Wook, in his 40, kinda pass that ahjussi vibe though prolly because of his role as Hwal in Bulgasal.
Decent opener episodes imo! I haven’t read the webtoon (and I don’t plan to) so I’m just really watching it as it is. Both the leads are doing great playing their roles! The annoying characters are being portrayed well by the other actors too!
E125: Okay! The new PD is doing a great job. If his first episodes in 123-124 weren’t enough basis how the show…
On a lighter note, Junghoon got the luckiest with his tour! He got the nicest tour tbh! Doing just a few interactive activies and unlocking some ranch experience without the need to rush or anything. Like, he was prolly just excited in that ranch tour! Good for him! Haha
E125: Okay! The new PD is doing a great job. If his first episodes in 123-124 weren’t enough basis how the show would do with such a revamp, then this episode could probably convince anyone that this season is far from being over! This episode is a literal gold! I laughed so hard and then my eyes got pleased with the calming beautiful aesthetics!
Maybe we can expect for some more touching tours with this new PD too just like what they did last season (didn’t really finish that season but there were many memorable episodes in S3 like the Harbin one and the grandma special). Not to say there weren’t any touching tours in Bang PD’s episodes though, but yeah... I feel like the new PD would be giving us those specials with an emotional backstory sooner. Anyway, I’m just glad this show hasn’t lost its magic like some assumed considering the many changes occurred most especially when Bang PD left! I’m glad the new PD is promising and has direction for the show like his predecessor(s).
E123-124: The new PD is definitely much stricter than Bang PD. It’s obvious with the way he isn’t as lenient when it comes to members sharing food. On a side note, I know that Seyoon could sing but not like that when he did the morning mission — he’s amazing in that part fr!
It’s so cool to see LSJ starring in more comedy series. After Dr. Park’s Clinic, his next project is actually in the same genre. Nice to see him being confident filming those now! He has always been a funny guy in variety shows but his roles in film/series are more on the uptight side. I guess he finally decided to build on his repertoire.
Anyway, I hope to see him in another variety show. Unexpected Yuh Jung was a gift I didn’t expect to get this year but this only lives me wanting more — 3MAD or Youn’s Kitchen (though the latter may even be harder as YYJ is just about to shoot a new series).
E3: Love those little quizzes they insert for LSJ! I’m still so fascinated with how he is best in (not so) common knowledge quizzes pre-2000s. I remember seeing a glimpse of it in Game Caterers when he lit gave detailed movie info during a quiz as well. Even more fun to see YYJ is like him! Also, LSJ mentioning 3MAD: US version — we could probably expect that happening in the nearest future as he gave that idea to Na PD. Gonna look forward to that!
I have mostly seen Jin Hee Kyung in roles where she has to depict an elegant and charismatic woman so her role in TKSL was such a breath of fresh air. Not to say that her character as Jung Myung Sook can’t be described as that though because it could — only she’s elegant and charismatic in a much cooler and quirkier manner. I never knew she could pull off comedy but her comedic timing is actually on point.
Suddenly, I can’t help but think of actor Kim Byung Chul too who is such a great villain actor and how he turned 180 for his role in Pegasus Market. Conclusion, brilliant actors with range and versatility!
