9.7... from 3 Users Ratings before a show has even aired its first episode should be banned. I know there's lots…
This is just on point! Also, it can get more annoying when some of these fans rate a drama a 1 just because they feel like a good series is gonna take over the appreciation of viewers. They don’t want the limelight to get stolen from their favs that they downvote a lot of decent shows.
I’m hoping to see him and Mew getting a project together. They had chemistry in the minimal scenes they got in Buang Hong and Khun Chai Pawornruj.
Btw, I love that the koojin trend years back has somehow dissipated. The actors/actressess were able to come out of their comfort zones and were finally able to show their potentials as actors more. Just for example, James with Taew, Bella with Pope, Yaya with Mark, and so on.
I am going to live in a delusional state until the end. A lot of dramas now change the original ending to appeal…
Hi @Minoucha irdk if this links to a legit alternative ‘happy’ ending but I hope I helped a little. (I’m currently only on my 22nd/23rd episode of Destiny of White Snake so idk what to honestly expect from it haha) -> http://icdrama.to/chinese-drama/4072-the-destiny-of-white-snake/

I was also thinking that an alternative ending could be plausible like what they did to Destiny of White Snake and Novoland. If not, then I’m still ready for the tears I’m about to shed as I already prepared myself for what may be a fast-approaching and predicted ending. But yeah, let’s live inside our bubble and hope that we’d be given even just an alternative while this series is still on-going.
I read the novel until its 25th chapter. I also read the novel spoiler posted online and my heart can’t help but ache for what’s about to obviously unfold. The tragic ending ain’t stopping me in watching this series up to the final episode though, as this is such a smoothly paced series and I honestly has not found myself fast-forwarding any episode so far. The reality we should all accept is that the lead couple were never bound to be together from the very start. Sighs! Like the message has been direct, love just can’t justify everything, especially if the circumstance involves other people who are family to you. But still... thinking about the unfortunate fate there is between my Xiao-Xiao couple! Ugh *sobs in Chinese*
Right? Like even the set is the same but still have hopes that this would be a fun watch.
I’ll give taiga a try sometimes, as it sounds quite interesting. I’ve been into ancient c-dramas for a year now. Lol please don’t judge me! Joke! But yeah, I have to agree with you about that — China is the best in terms of how they plan out (and even build) every location they have. Thanks again for your elaborate information. I have learnt a lot.
I’m not really into older/younger tag but I saw some stills of Wei Long and Song Qian and found them to have some chemistry, so I’m gonna give this a try.
The show hasn’t even finished airing and I’m already hoping to see a second season. The rapport of everyone here is just so evident and I’m living for it. Changing my rating from a 9.5 to 10.
Dangermousie on tumblr described this drama as a weird duck and mentioned, " I love all the drama and the angst…
I can’t help but share the same sentiments regarding detached appreciation. I already finished until episode 35 and yet it seems like I’m weirdly a mixture of enjoying the show and not really enjoying it. The story and its flow is so far good but I still can’t feel like I’m fully getting emotionally invested with this one. I don’t know how to explain it but it’s like I’m watching for the sake of finishing this. The touching moments haven’t really touched me as much as I wanted. And as much as the characters are nicely portrayed, I just can’t seem to feel for them unlike the past wuxias and xianxias I’ve watched. I have to say that I liked their mortal redemption arc though.
I agree that the leads have superb chemistry.
P.S. The empress is such a contemptuous character. Like legit out of all the horrible and hateful antagonists I’ve watched, she’s the person that successfully struck a nerve. She is an irritating character. I know that she’s obsessed with power and all but ugh. Lol.
