And what was Do Yoo Wan's motivation in the previous season? It was an iferiority complex too. At least Dr. Park…
I'd say it was moreso greed. The conflict between Do Yoo Wan and Dr. Kim last season was so much more interesting because they had that past together of President Do trying to ruin Dr. Kim's career, so President Do continually coming around and trying to finish what he started made the stakes feel higher. Today's episode (that scene where Dr. Park finally confronted Dr. Kim in the hallway and gave his little speech) was the first time I've felt something toward's Dr. Park all season. It would have been nice if they built it like that from the beginning.

i wish dr. park's motivation as a villain was more than just an inferiority complex towards dr. kim for helping during a bus accident. or they at least should have made the bus accident more significant to give his inferiority more emotional weight. the conflict feels so weak this season. not to mention, having both dr. park and dr. yang be driven by inferiority complexes is just annoying..

I'm a bit lost as to how she broke up with her boyfriend? In episode 2 they seemed happy together and then suddenly…
in episode 2 (i think), she went to go surprise him at his apartment (and i'm assuming cook for him like he did for her before), and she caught him hugging another woman at his place, so yeah i believe they implied that he was cheating.

omg the chairwoman has finally met her match with kang siwol, now imagine how he'll react if he finds out how…
jun hwi didn't react at all when he found out that his aunt dumped a whole damn gallon of water on her head and i'm unsatisfied, can kang si wol at least return the favor?

Started watching the first 2 ep, they’re really good so far! Also do you mind sparring your thoughts on which…
yeah, the rational side of me is telling me to wait, but every time i open a drama site and see the subs on the first page i feel my willpower weaken. watching ongoing dramas is so fun, but i know myself and i know i'll just get frustrated about the slow subs every week.

i see two potential futures for hae rang: either chung ah is going to reunite her with si wol and hae rang will become very tearful and finally apologetic for how she treated chung ah in the past, or she'll find out she is related to kang si wol some other way and then lose her shit at chung ah (and seol ah by extension) for taking everything from her including the twin brother she lost. frankly i think the second option would be very interesting, i love seeing villains hit the bottom. i can picture her going batshit for not only losing tae rang and jin woo to seol ah, but also the trust of her family when they find out she bullied chung ah into dropping out of school. then adding kang si wol sticking up for and having feelings for chung ah on top of everything else? *chef finger kiss* a masterpiece.

it was so cheesy but i loved it?? like i didn't think i would, i started out the movie like "okay, cute, this…
in particular that scene at the end after all the fighting and eisei says he wants to be the first king to unite china, i felt that in my bones. especially knowing that eisei's character is based on the real life king that did that. seriously well done. i can just see how the story in the manga developed from their and how epic it must be.

Viki is still a business asking people to pay a membership to watch their stuff, and with their "plus" shows you…
personal preference? I'm a college student and all my money is going towards groceries. If I'm going to pay for a drama streaming service, I want to pay for one that translates at least as fast as the websites that get them illegally. Not to mention the drama market has changed so much over the years, and now there are big players like Netflix joining the game, but Viki isn't adjusting to the competition. Even five years ago I always preferred Dramafever to them because Dramafever consistently had the episodes done by 5-6 pm in my timezone while Viki was always slow. There's a standard now of having the subs out the same day as the episode airs; if they really want to make their business worth spending money on, they should at least meet that standard.

Yes! That's my favorite thing, that through all this the "i don't love you" lie trope didn't last long, and they know that they have feelings for each other.

I think I'm going to wait until it's done to watch if the translations keep coming out this slow :/ Back when Scarlet Heart aired, there was a similar problem with the subs and Korea not airing the finished cut so you had to wait a few days until the rerun aired to get the complete thing, and you had to wait for the reruns to get translated, and all that waiting and frustration just killed my enjoyment for the drama and I dropped it. I really don't want the same thing to happen with Forest.

Yeah volunteering is time consuming and that's respectable, but Viki as a business is still asking people to pay…
That's because Disney sold the exclusive streaming rights to other services before Disney+ was a thing, so they have to wait until all those contracts are up before they can add it. So like, for example, National Treasure and a few of the Marvel movies are still on Netflix until later this year. Sorcerer's Apprentice is on STARZ until like October. I think STARZ also has the rights to the live action Cinderella. Idk who currently has the rights to Into the Woods, but it's in the same boat. It'll be added to Disney+ on November 28.

Your English is good! No need to apologize!

Yesss <3 omg I've been obsessed with Beautiful Love Wonderful Life but none of my irl friends are watching it so I just rant about it to them, they're probably so annoyed with me lol Jun Hwi seems to be developing a protective instinct for Chung Ah so I'm hoping, especially after he finds out just how much his mom wronged her, that he'll stand up for her and stay by her side. If they do the whole "my family hurt you so I can't be with you, you're better off without me" separation angst on top of everything, I'll be upset.

ahh that's what I expected. I want to like Never Twice because the plot is interesting, but I have a feeling that I'll just skim through the scenes that don't involve either Park Se Wan or Kwak Dong Yeon.

omg i agree, I wasn't expecting to like Extraordinary You as much as I did but it ended up being my favorite drama of the year. Plus I found a new actor to look forward too with Baek Kyung. I'm excited to see what character he plays in I'll Find You On A Beautiful Day

Yes! I'm OBSESSED with Chung Ah and Jun Hwi, and as more and more of the pieces of the secret come out, I get more excited. Like once everything with the judge gets revealed, I'm going to die.
I also started watching Stove League for the actors (plus I casually enjoy baseball since my dad is a big fan), but I didn't expect the story to be so entertaining. I love how character-driven it is. (but I keep shipping Nam Goong Min and Park Eun Bin even though I know there's no romance and I'm not supposed too, oops lol)

I'm not a big historical fan because I get bored with too much politics, but a good majority of Tale of Nokdu was rom-com, and it was really unique so I loved it.

Oooh, Koi wa Tsuzuku yo Doko Made mo is on my list because I love Sato Takeru, but I'm waiting for it to end so I can binge it. Is Never Twice good? I was thinking about watching it for Park Se Wan and Kwak Dong Yeon's romance, but I'm worried I'll be bored by the other sub-plots.

Yeah, you said you don't like Suzy, and in my opinion Vagabond is only worth watching if you like the actors.. (Unless they actually make a second season, then I would recommend trying it).

My surprise favs of 2019 were Extraordinary You and Tale of Nokdu. I planned on watching My Country but I only saw the first two episodes before I stopped because it was airing at the same time as like five other dramas and I couldn't balance it lol. I did like what I see though, I just don't know how good the rest of the drama turned out to be.

I sort of fell out of dramas for a while because I'm in college, so I haven't watched many that came out within the past two years.

idk what you like to watch, but I'm also currently enjoying Beautiful Love Wonderful Life, Stove League, Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 2, and Crash Landing on You (I wouldn't take this one too seriously, it's super cheesy lol).

rip i've had that happen it's the worst
i know they have a deal with jtbc and studio dragon, jtbc i'm not worried about, it's the studio dragon ones that put them in direct involvement with with the production company...

ugh shoot, i was going back on forth about my holo love because i love the lead actor but not the synopsis, i didn't even think about the fact that it's netflix and they'll probably split it (and take a wild guess who the production company is) :/

that's exactly why i fell so hard into korean dramas! my adhd ass gets so tired of american shows when they have over 5 seasons, especially if i'm watching them as they air. watching dramas and getting able to experience the full arc of a story like i'm reading a book except visualizing everything is soooo fulfilling.

yeah, netflix is a double edge sword because the deal they make with the companies means they get the shows ahead of time to prepare the subs so they can release the subs super early (1 am kst) which is awesome, but i'm suspecting (i've never actually looked into it) that they sponsor the drama production so they're also influencing the plots to have more "western" formats and leave open endings for more seasons when dramas like never do seasons so it makes everything pointless. that or they do what they did with love alarm and mffl and split the arc in half? for what? building anticipation?

kokowa seems really good at getting them out on time, but i can't figure out how to make an account i don't think my computer likes the site lol. i've heard good things about viu, but they're not available in america... i miss dramafever :/
