Haven’t started this yet, but I really disliked the Korean version. I watched most of it and dropped it at the…
as someone who liked the korean version despite it's flaws, i personally think this one is worse. if you had a problem with the characters in the original, they're even less fleshed out here. also, in what i'm guessing was an attempt to change the story up so it wasn't a carbon copy of the korean, they moved around some of the order of events but it didn't do anything to help the pacing. this will be like 8 episodes longer than the korean, but they didn't stretch the story out at all and he starts falling for in her episode 3 for like no reason.
Thanks for letting us know. I’m really skeptical of this version anyway, the trailer made it look like a Jasper…
That's one of the problems I have is that they're dressing her so young and making her real childish when her whole internal conflict in the original was that she wanted a respectable office job to fit in with society and her peers. But there's no remnants of that in this version, here she already knows who he is and applied to his company because of her respect for him as a businessman.
It just feels like they took away all of the characters' agency and motivation. The writing is super flawed imo.
i really don't like the changes they made from the original, it screwed up the pacing and made the character/relationship development awkward. plus it took away the charm from the original. at this point in the relationship after getting to know him, she would never insult his mysophobia. the reason he fell for her and also the reason his mom approved of her as a potential love interest for her son was because she was so understanding and empathetic of his condition, but we don't have that here. instead she and his mom are talking about him behind his back like he's unreasonable and a burden. that's so disappointing..
This writer and that one from ROY are on my blacklist
ROY's writer should've been on my blacklist the second high society went to absolute shit but for some reason i keep picking up her dramas like they're somehow going to be better and they never are
so if netflix released the first 10 episodes as "season 1", when are the rest of the episodes coming? next week? two weeks? it seems like it's following mgtv's release schedule for vip members but i'm not sure how that works
asdghslfhkj i hate when dramas get their schedules thrown off and you have to wait a week for the last episode instead of one day, especially with thrillers this is gonna hurt
the only reason i'm sticking with this drama is because i know lee min ki films great kiss scenes, and based on this episode i was right, however.. screw the plot, when this is over i'm rating it a 5

THIS DRAMA WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME
