Excuse me, that first episode was freaking DOPE! I'm not familiar with the source material-- I hadn't even heard of the manga-- but this is the most promising show I've seen in weeks!
Well, so much for thinking this would be good, I guess. At this point I think I'd rather watch my goldfish deliver the lines because, dang, that acting gives me some serious secondhand embarrassment.
Any feedback on which adaptation is the best? I am intrigued by the premise but I really ain't plan on watching five different series with the same plot.
Takes its sweet time to pick up steam but eventually manages to become interesting during the third act. It has a pretty predictable plot, and it relies heavily on clichés, but it's a decent watch if you need to kill some time.
Interesting premise but disappointing execution. The director draws parallels between the atrocities of the Bataan Death March and the contemporary injustices and mistreatment of the Bataan people by the Filipino authorities (which, I can imagine, may be pretty controversial in a Filipino context). I appreciate how the movie manages to raise attention for a disenfranchised group of people, and I liked the cinematography, but the plot itself is pretty boring and predictable.
I dont really think that Pat is the bottom tho. Because when Pat saw Pran playing guiter next morning after they’ve…
I think the beauty of this show is that it keeps things deliberately vague in order to challenge existing stereotypes about gay relationships. We simply don't know what happened, and it intentionally done this way, so I see it as kinda unnecessary to go ham with the speculations.
Now... I suppose a 'holy shit' is in order. The director really didn't hold back with this one. I am no stranger to (body) horror and gore, and I thought I'd pretty much seen it all when it came to Pinoy movies, but I guess I was wrong. This was disturbing. Forget the catfishing storyline or its alleged moral message: this was made for shock value alone.
Sean... I- I didn't know you were into that kinda thing 👀😂
When you're not sure you're gonna watch a thriller about drugs or a religious film about conversion, lol.
... Who's gonna tell him it doesn't work that way?
