This is a great way to describe it, most of the characters are not deliberately trying to cheat on each other, they are actually trying to fix their relationships, but things don't always work out like you mentioned.

That was a great first episode, it reminded me a bit of Tokkai, I love this kind of 90's setting, and the fact that we get to learn about how the Division 2 of the MPD really works is a great plus, also Kitamura Kazuki in this kind of role where he shows a dark side with a secret agenda is simply breathtaking, that man is amazing; and the same goes for the building tensions between Sato and Eguchi's character, I'm sure Sato's character Kazuki will have to work with someone if he really wants to tackle the case ^^ I'm in for this, looking forward.
