One thing I noticed is that the cdrama actor pool is smaller than kdramas. They churn out shows like no tommorrow. These actors never rest in order to stay relevant. I wish they had release dates tho

Yes! I watched lovely runner explode with my 2 eyes. Probably because of tik tik edits. I hope that can happen for this show as well even tho it’s late and a lot of people don’t watch cdramas because the work is complete with a handsome male lead that gives princess treatment that’s a ll we need 🤓🤭 and Mumu is as brave as the FL in LR!

I also enjoyed watching Byeon Wooseoks rise to fame, he got 10 million followers in a span of a month or 2. I will never forget how insane that summer was.

I was hoping this show can open cdramas to the world a bit more yes people watch it but not as much as kdramas. But I will say they make more historical dramas that’s why and people aren’t willing to watch those because of “sad endings” and cdramas don’t go on Netflix. Hidden love was the show that opened the door for more cdramas on Netflix from Youku

But the show is performing really well from my tik tok analysis 🤓. TFF which was highly anticipated and on Netflix since February has 74k hashtag views on tik tok. SAL has 105k from 2 weeks. Not saying one is better than the other but TFF is a highly anticipated and successful show on Netflix that’s why I use it as an example

I still can’t wrap my head around all the allegations against her, if there’s no evidence then people need to stop smearing the poor lady. She always seems so positive but she’s going through a lot.

Yeah that what I’m saying asst least they haven’t lost out on everything and have the international audience. Imagine working hard for months away from home and come back to people belittling your work. And this transcends the leads because we have the production crew and directors working to produce this.

Zhao Zhao isn’t real but He Yu is, that’s my consolation for finishing this show. I genuinely really like him so it’s exciting learning about him and seeing what he’s up to.

Since I was young ube never been a long term fan of anything this summer I became a fan of Liu Yuning and I love seeing what he’s up to and his achievements. Now I add He Yu (Yuzi) and Esther (less of Esther because she’s already really big so I can’t witness her growth 😭) to my list. That is what consoles me from finishing a show.

I agree they always say everything is bad but it might be they’ve watched a lot and new things are boring?

Watching more and more cdramas and conversations I see around the Chinese entertainment industry is so weird. It seems like they actively some suppress shows which is so weird and there’s always one problem or another . I used to think it was peaceful but not anymore . I also heard that international users cannot contribute to the heat of a drama 😭

I followed him at 3k and check his Instagram too, it’s so fun! Same I think he’s going to get to 800 by the end of today. I thought the followers would slow down after the show ended but he still averages almost 50k per day. I hope he keeps posting thooo that helps a lot. Also love that Esther adds him to her posts so people can find his account, she’s always so sweet. Can’t wait for him to be verified.

I genuinely feel when artists have shows that blow up and don’t use it to their advantage especially on Instagram for Chinese celebrities it is a waste lol. You need to utilize this time to be seen and build and audience so they always have you in their heads lol. Even if the Chinese audience doesn’t like a show you won’t lose out too much, you will still have an international fan base.

I love Liu Yuning, he had 2 shows and 3 variety shows this year but still no Instagram.
