i was confused at first too 😭Yes the person in the hospital is her biological father, the other person is her rich stepfather. I believe her mother left him because he was poor to be with the chairman, Many times her mother says things like"we came from humble beginnings" etc. and we see them moving into the chairmans house and meeting her deaf sister for the first time. so they're steps.

One thing I don’t see people talking about is the relationship between HHJ mother and BSE father, like he’s so creepy does he like her?

People need to understand it was always going to evolve into romance, it never gave a very intense thriller vibe imo, maybe it’s just me but my expectations were normal level so I’m not disappointed

Yes there’s a childhood connection but in a logical kind of way imo, they are both from powerful families so naturally they’re family friends, the whole arranged marriage situation came about because they are family friends. It’s not just for the plot but they show us past scenes of him, her, her sister and their parents to help us connect dots and understand why they are the way they are. They didn’t accidentally meet and become fated as children it’s not that dramatic dw 😭. It’s very natural to me. If she was pier and they magically met somewhere then okay I agree it might be forced but their families are in close proximity to each other even present day in the show

I don’t even think BSE would’ve kept her close if he knew that, they seem like brother and sister to me. The scene that confirmed she doesn’t like him for me is so 3 at the lunch we’re she shouted “he’s a married man” at the doctor guy, drawing boundaries for him when he’s not even there. I like her character

YYS does a variety show called “whenever possible” he’s the go host I think and he’s sooooo tall and fineeee with his long hair on it. It’s on viki but I watch clips on tik tok and he’s so funny

One of my favourite shows as well, the ost is incredible i still listen to it. I don't think Junho is a trained actor and this was one of the first kdramas i watched, when i found out he was an idol my jaw dropped because he bore out his soul for this show. I will never forget this performance

Okay so firstly i'v watched many Harem dramas and i believe that Deok Im had a better life than many, she was said to be respected by the queen and the queen awlays knew that she was there for political reasons so she wasn't in their way. I've watched many harem dramas were the man says he loves you but picks up women like no one's business and that wasn't a problem with san because he gave his whole heart to her. she lives seperate from the other consort so i don't think they gave her any trouble. she also rarely left the palace because she was a maid and even when she did apart from her brother there was no one to got too. She can't have children or get married because she's a court lady. Being able to have her own family with San seemed like such a blessing to me Maybe it's just me but i didn't see wat the issue was. yes her son died but illness is vey common and i though her and san would push through it together and welcome another one together. But i have to say San was harsh during the scene after she lost her child. Her friends also got to hang out with her often and i'm sure she shared many good things with them. So i can;t wrap by head around it. In real life i think she passed away from cancer, they could've still incorporated that without making it seem like she didn't want to meet him again. i felt so bad for San after.

I also want to understand what people mean ny her loosing her freedom being with him because i view it a different way i think

I really enjoyed this show but the rehection and the last scene is something i think about often let me explain.

I love the music as well, one of the best, I listen to it whilst I study and it’s one of the best BGM music I’ve heard in any drama. It’s so enchanting and emotional
