He is well known public figure and yet employing his own wife in another public role while hiding their relationship?…
Employing one's spouse or family member = cronyism. Apparently, a big issue in Korea - indeed around the world.
This has happened in The US Army. A couple were caught hiding their marriage. He was her direct superior and scored her NCOER's and PT Tests. So, no. This is not an uncommon issue. I've also ever worked for one company where a spouse was openly acknowledged without one losing their job. The head of HR was also the wife of the owner and President of the company and she had founded the company with him.
International fans seem to love an ajusshi romance with a big age gap. Couldn't be me
True story. I wish I could remember all details. Poor man who dressed well and went to parties - known as a "dandy" - in the Roaring 1920's told a rich widow that he wanted to marry her for her money. She said yes. The two spent the rest of their lives together. When he died? He left a note declaring her "the love of his life". She died not long after, leaving a note for her family, that he "was the love of her life". He was in his 20's and she was in her 40's when they married. Neither was ever known to cheat on each other and both were seen together everywhere.
Yes, agree with bubble - k-dramas often start with loose threads that can take a whole 2 episodes to come together,…
In N.A.
Yeah, you have to watch the first two episodes. I liked it from the 1st. The premise was interesting. And the show relies on clips at the end of each episode to explain some plot points that happened earlier in the episode. I've always liked this device to convey pertinent information to the viewer.
The show was very good. The only objection that I have is how Dr. Cha was written. He turned out to be a coward who is responsible for the murder of more people because he could not face the facts.
That was a great scene. Ending the episode on that line, excellent.
The ending of episode 4, was right up there with the ending of episode 3. And the preview at the end giving us a taste. So far, the director has ended each episode perfectly. Other than that one scene that was completely unbelievable, this show is fantastic.
Unfortunately there is a two week pause also😂It won't air on Dec 14th and 20th🥹
Documentary about a recent Nobel Prize (Literature) winning Korean author and the 2nd week is a replay of the documentary. It is very important in Korea.
Disappointing but it is what it is. Hopefully, no dip in viewership if the show remains strong, when the 3rd week rolls around and the episode is released.
First 3 episodes have me hooked. Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin (I watched because of her acting) are going very well. Hopefully, the writers will continue to produce a quality script and even improve it. Looking forward to the future episodes.
Disappointed that the show will be delayed 2 weeks in December. Hopefully the show remains strong and viewership does not drop.
I must say that there is one really bad moment in the show that defies logic, when... things... go...
Congratulations to Han Kang. I haven't read his books. It is a big deal to win a Nobel Prize. I have not paid attention to Nobel Prizes since they became so political. Which is why I would prefer the Kdrama. And before anyone asks? Yes, I am well read. Including Western classics and some Eastern tracts that have been translated (not just Sun Tzu), etc.
The judge died and her soul went (to heaven or hell) why would she come back?
I replied to another person but I'll reply again with a partial posting...
-Dog that was chasing the original King Bitna was destroyed by white light emanating from what looks to be a Heavenly door that partially opened. -Gremory was sent to Earth as punishment for letting the original Kang Bitna escape - only one place to escape to.
It's not well defined but given those two instances, it can be reasonably inferred.
I thought that that was why Gremory was sent to the mortal world. Yeah, they did leave that loose end there.
I rewatched the show. The dog chasing Kang Bitna was destroyed when the door partially opened, using a white light. Since Kang Bitna was not meant to be consigned to Hell, she escaped - according to Gremory. Couple that with the dog being destroyed and Kang Bitna looks to have made it to the proper place that is not Hell.

Perhaps this seasons best on-screen power couple in a Kdrama. Though, Marry My Husband also would be in consideration.
I just can't get over the total lack of realism and defying of physics.
Yes, SARCASM.

Shaping up for best on-screen power couple.
The plot is really cool. As long as the scripts do not make more mistakes like the "boom" mistake.
Chae Soo-bin & Yoo Yeon-seok are rocking the screen with their acting.
Im Chul-soo is the best supporting actor. Please don't typecast him. He's too good.

Pray to the script gods that the writing is great.
