There are many characters and paralel stories, so for those who are not used to wuxia dramas or dramas with lots of characters, it may be a little difficult to understand or tag along with the pace of story in the beginning. BUT only in the beginning! Blood of youth is a wonderful wuxia+palace scheme drama! This is definitely one of the best dramas I ever watched!! Xiao Se reminds me of Li Lianhua from Mysterious Lotus Casebook: a sarcastic old fox. The fight scenes are excellent! This drama is perfect!!

I luv Cheng Yi and he is perfect in this drama! The focus is on mysterious cases instead of romance which I think is quite refreshing. I thought I wouldn't get so addicted but I'm anxious waiting for more eps. For one hand I think I should have waited to end but at same time I'm happy to watch it ongoing. If you're not so addicted to mysterious murders, you can start it.
