As a person who have tried to watch the original like 2-3 times but don't know why every time I was asleep in…
i, like you and the other replies, found ep 1 of the original very hard to get through. it took me 3 tries only because everyone really loved this drama so i tried to push through and see what was so great about it. after ep 3/4 was when it started getting good, and for me it got REALLY good. i suggest you give it another try because it really is an amazing drama.
I cried sobbing throwing up while watching episode 10. This is the first time I cried until my nose was running…
According to history the prince only returned home after 3 years so she believed he was dead for that entire time. I think that's a long enough time for her to move on and continue with her life
Funny how a lot of people dislike gilchae for her actions in ep 10 but for me it was the opposite. I was more upset with janghyun. It's probably because throughout eps 1-9 I saw janghyun as almost perfect, I never disagreed with anything he did because he's so smart and charming but ep 10 did bring out more of his flaws. I just didn't like how he was giving gilchae an ultimatum, telling her to abandon everyone she loves just for him or he'll never see her again. He knew at that point that she did love him, so why would he tell her that he'll leave her completely if she doesn't run away with him? Didn't he know how much that would affect her as a noblewoman if she eloped from her marriage? It just felt too much. And I am glad that gilchae ended up returning to her loved ones because frankly that was the right thing to do. She can't just abandon her family and ruin her reputation for a man that comes and goes like the wind.
I can't wait for them to meet again in part 2 at a time when they both are emotionally mature enough to respect each others limits and obligations and love each other without these obstacles in between them.
Maybe I missed sth but I don‘t quite get what they intended ML‘s image to be; on the one hand he‘s rumured…
I think they wanted to show that the ML was a womanizer until he truly fell in love with someone which changed him. The only thing that made him a 'playboy' of that time was that he was unwilling to marry and settle down with a woman, because he never truly fell in love with one until he met gilchae. Like the other commenter said, I think janghyun is only asking gilchae to sleep with him to tease and get a reaction out of her. But he truly does love her, that's why he's willing to wait for her to get over yeonjun and choose him. He even told her that he was ready to marry her if that's what she wanted. If this was some other woman that he just wanted a fling with, he'd get bored instantly and find someone else. And the part of him rejecting the gisaeng also proves that he's no longer mindlessly going from woman to woman like he used to because he no longer finds pleasure in it. He doesnt care for other woman anymore because his heart is with gilchae.
I have to be onest, i liked and still like it,but after ten episodes the drama become just a little boring/hard…
same i understand, the first couple eps were great but i think everything in general has kinda mellowed down. this is typical of ongoing kdramas tho so i expected it to happen lol. I'm still watching but i lost that excitement from the first couple weeks
I’m sorry but it was pretty stupid of Do Ha to say that it wasn’t necessary to stop that piece of 💩 to…
yeah he annoyed me there like why are you stopping a cop from keeping you and other people safe he was violent since the day his sister went missing and that was YEARS ago he's not gonna suddenly go back to being nice after that one confrontation
it was kinda obvious that the girl's death was going to be revealed as a murder and not a suicide and if this was a darker genred drama I'd say doha being the culprit is possible but let's be real here, in this drama there is no way he killed her and had memory loss about it as the preview suggest. it would be more interesting if he did but yeah, there's no way. doha's mother and deukchan are the most suspicious as of right now. doha's mother was glaring at the girl during the highschool graduation and deukchan is slowly getting off the rails with his attachment to doha
Basically the investigation to his involvement happens 23 years after all the events we are witnessing right now…
i still think out of ryangeum and yeonjun it's more likely to be ryangeum. yeonjun is more faithful to the crown, yes, but he seems more interested in the king rather than the crown prince. i believe ryangeum was the one sending janghyuns letters to the prince while they were in disguise. but we still have some time to figure out who this person is that becomes so loyal to the CP. i also don't personally think yeonjun would be so reliant on janghyun to get him out of the prison especially after god knows how long.
what i find quite satisfying from the last two episodes is how those eps reflected the way juwon describes the martial arts books he reads. even though the majority of the novels is fighting, in the end the good guy wins and returns to his lover. just like how eps 10 and 11 were mainly about juwon fighting a bunch of people and in the final scene he reunites with jihee.
if ur thinking about watching this, do it. it's as good as hidden love, wifty, etc. it's actually better then…
yess i prefer the dynamic between the yad leads to the wifty leads. in yad, it feels like the leads like each other more equally so they just feel more balanced yk? i like how the ml doesnt hide his interest in the fl from the very start despite still being on the introverted side. both actors suit each other's vibe a lot
Small question. I think it was in ep4, janghyun was with yeonjun and the other soldiers and he halfheartedly decided to help them fight the oncoming barbarians. In the middle of fighting, he mutters something like " "sound of flowers", as if" which confused me because why was he thinking about that in the middle of fighting? There wasnt even any mention of gilchae in that scene (i think) but it seems odd that he muttered that while fighting enemies.
It's probably because throughout eps 1-9 I saw janghyun as almost perfect, I never disagreed with anything he did because he's so smart and charming but ep 10 did bring out more of his flaws.
